The reason I haven’t been is I holiday in Nelson at Xmas, and do the two days at Richmond. So maybe plan it better this year? cheers

Some of the small guys, some of the stories are so funny. I’ve met a few I like a lot, although someone I like, someone else doesn’t. you are right, mick dresses very smart, drives a Ferrari I’m told. I saw him at Alex park one time up there, I just don’t have time for him. btw I love Alex park, from the racing to bar staff, they know me, I spend a lot of time there, as I stay across the road. cheers

I used to watch it but not now,just personal preference. The thing I would like to see is the average trainer,the battler, after all they are the back bone of the industry. btw are you in Auckland? Im in chch, chch boy through n through. Although I normally come up for the Rowe cup.

What’s crazy is locking down the South Island, but then when you look at flight radar on my phone, planes everywhere. a few days ago in a 5 min period 2 inbound from China, 1 kl. 1 Brisbane to alkd. Syd and bris into Chch plus internal flights x 10 this government have no idea.

I was part of a syndicate years ago,it didn’t end good but the meeting at a pub every month was a good night out.years now. are there syndicates that have vacancies? im just curious about things now. cheers

So I’m hearing 10 groups of 90 wtf? The place is just a drunk fest.my mate used to book a table of 10 for 3k , 300 bud a head. He stopped doing it about 8? Years ago and puts it on at his home now, catered food all day, and booze and wine. I really love it far much better than on course now. We bet all day at our leisure.

I knew who he was months ago, I didn’t mention anything, as I met him at the last.? meeting in greymouth. Seemed nice enough bloke, a good trainer too. From memory he had a wee girl with him. My trainer knew him.

Yeah the pyramids are on my bucket list plus back to Cornwall the most beautiful place in the world,st Ives and Penzance,I love it there. Yeah I did alright,worked for myself for 25 years, retired at 60. Life’s good.

It’s a lower social economic area,lots of state housing, some good honest people, some bad eggs, John Bennett springs to mind. i grew up there. I did alright.
