  1. What I was meaning is trying to pick winners,so many average races but usually large fields,a bit if a minefield.
  2. I reckon Timaru is a funny track,no set rules
  3. Now that Addingtons done a barrage of greyhounds coming up on trackside, time to turn off.
  4. Did you have Ned Kelly happy.?
  5. Why after that last race at addington did they go to a greyhound race instead of reviewing the race just run?
  6. The top class races in all reality are a bit thin really as much as Purdons horses are good some of the others are their by default,I guess it's always been like that but I do think there is less depth these days.
  7. Gee just watching the races in oz,those people wearing mask,it looks ugly, maybe it would be better if they wore a condom over their head.
  8. I was looking at the odds for the cup,no Alexy,he has one 10 races so he has qualified, be a buzz for O Connell driving in the cup
  9. U may collect ain't up to this class,Robyn's Playboy might be a good Southern raider though but these days there is a big gulf between Canterbury and Southland,a bit like Rugby really, just not sure in what sport the biggest gulf is these days.
  10. If they dont start do you get a refund?
  11. There was 11 and a half thousand in the win pool just before start time, considering that's a cup class race that ain't much, sure there were probably or possibly some big bets on FO betting but gee I'm not sure if harness racing is doing as well as some say. Why are they so obsessed with the odds on trackside of the NZ Trotting cup, does anybody bet this far out?
  12. I think he is still racing, still running at ForburyπŸ˜„
  13. I hope everybody made some contribution to the Forbury club as in betting,no good moaning if the suits say it's no longer viable. Just watching race from Kalgoorlie, its a whole different product,I have to say I actually like the West Australian races, good commentator too.
  14. That forbury person
  15. This person is becoming a pest.
  16. Forbury, week field ,all set for a big effort andπŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜•β˜ΉπŸ˜³πŸ˜’πŸ˜žπŸ₯±πŸ₯ΊπŸ˜§πŸ˜ž agh fuck. Be on him next time at Addington.
  17. How many tote windows do they have, would it be in everyones wisdom just to have one, just like betting at the pub, most bet on smartphone but there would always be some who wont,so everyones provided for.
  18. This person actually gives Forbury a bad name.
  19. 17 horses trained in Dunedin area, including Mosgiel and 20 in the greater area, central and south otago plus Waikouaiti,is that many, hard to know but your claim about poor fields,in reality pretty much the same as what's been going around most meetings these says, despite everything will be interesting to see how it stacks up results wise.
  20. I kind of think Forbury tend to get the poor rub of the green these days, most of their other meetings this season are midweek wedged in between canterbury and southern meetings and then they have the 5 winter meetings.
  21. Be interesting to see how Forbury fare as opposed to the same old Southland thursday setup,a 5 05 start time is a odd time to start, its kinda right in the middle of the aussie races which whether we like it or not do attract a large following, one thing I noticed on friday on betfair when Ascot park raced the first race had a matched bet amount of just under 20000,and as the day progressed amount bet was reducing every race, theory being that a lot of ozzie money may have been invested early before they get going themselves, getting back to Forbury will racing in competition to the oz gallops at night be better for the tab than a day meeting in Southland, that's the question.
  22. I see Orari is getting 31000 less funding for its days racing,is this less funding across all the clubs,is this due to less turnover or some other factor?
  23. I could comment but you've already said all that's needed to be said
  24. Someone posted betting figures a year or two ago from some meetings,it was on course and off course figures individually,Ascot Park ran a meeting on a wed or thursday in November I think it was and the total on course betting was 18000 and that's let's not beat around the Bush, fuck all, however like probably a lot of meetings a lot of punting is done on phone so figures are recorded as off course,I dont know what a clubs take is as in regard to on and off course turnover so maybe a bet placed on course or off is just treated as the same,as I said before maybe the times come that on course betting on non event meetings is all done by devices saving the tab money, just pure economics. While we slag off the TAB decision makers a lot of the time for some of the decisions they make, maybe some are hard to accept because we resist change. I spose it's a bit like the council's putting on a bus service around town and then carrying 4 people, simple fact is do they keep running something at a loss or ditch it,there are ways and means around every situation.
  25. How would it work, its still nice to know what bets are placed within a venue.
