    Brodie it's their sense of entitlement that the rest of the country owes them something,I listen to newstalk zb alot,some guy the other talking about the smelter shutting and how they would be able to get all that power cheaply up to Auckland,simple fact is that as they the furthest away they pay the most for power and the south pays less,fuckem.

    Just a query,3 maiden races only a handful for 2200 m race but good numbers for 1200,would the miss outers from the 1200 race in the 22 or not.

    Noms for Winton at Ascot Park rather light,I dont think I saw Andertons name there,not many Tyler's either,is there a reason ,maybe it's just one of things,one wonders if it was Gore if it would be different.

    Fields for Riccarton out soon and then its Ascot Park Monday,why not Gore?,used to race labour day but anyway, Ashburton next thursday and then Wingatui.cup day,a good diet of regular racing switching from Canterbury to the South,seems to work well enough.

    Yes times have changed but I have said before,tv has changed so much,there is still interest,its just people ain't attending on course,same with rugby,test cricket etc etc,they may come out for the big show ,that's about it,even Auckland with its large population didn't sell out on sunday.

    What I was meaning is do they actually still have the race form,results etc,I read the ODT online and there are stories but not really as much as before so I'm not up with the print business any more.

    Wasn't there a Dave Cannon,think he did the trotting annuals,I may be wrong,happy do you have any of those annuals,mothers xmas shopping was easy for me,trotting annual and anything else.

    So the tv presenters work from a studio,they must have one or two around the place,why not work from a racecourse?

    Very funny,we like to bleat about how great we are but we must remember we take rugby seriously Australia don't,remember cricket is their number 1 game so yep we win rugby but last Xmas proved at cricket they are best,probably apart from the islands no where else is rugby that big.

    In reality is there anyone better to do the job,while Winnie was good for racing he had been the chief manipulater in so many ways so times up,what the future is for racing,who knows?

    Brodie the difference between my comments and yours is that yours ain't funny but absolutely correct,they won't help racing and as a country we get what we deserve as a rule.
