  1. It wasn't yesterday, get it right. It was the day before 1/1... JOKE Are you pissed again. Both meetings should have been marketed late last week...
  2. Trotters get away with it mate. I don't know how some of them get away with breaking nearly every start. There's little punishment, often they have to trial once. All the trainer does it take it to a trials give it a quiet run. Often there only one or two starters, sometimes only one, so the horse does everything right and it is ok to race next week. Then the same happens. Others horses seem to go good for a few starts then go rogue. I'm think of Alister Blacks Wai Key Wei a horse with plenty of ability but has broken in his last two starts. Before that he was trotting soundly so not sure what the problem is? Let's just say some trotters are not consistent....
  3. Congratulations to Samantha Ottley for being the leading female driver in 2022. Miss Ottley drove 71 winners and finished seventh in the Drivers' Premiership. Samantha Ottley has taken her driving to a new level this season. She looks fitter and stronger and I think the competition from Sarah O'Reilly has focussed her mind. Whatever she's done.... It's working... Sarah O'Reilly had another mammoth season. She's won so many championships I won't mention them here. Sarah O'Reilly is a natural in the cart and with her genes it is hardly surprising. What a line: Sire Gerard one of NZ's most underrated drivers/trainers, uncles Kerry, Leo, Patrick, who was the best in the business in the 70s. Grandfather Patrick was also a top driver/trainer. Sarah O'Reilly drove 70 winners last season. Wow, considering the class orfhorse she drives and with little support from Canterbury trainers that is a huge effort from Sarah. Sarah was leading Miss Ottley by a number of wins in the final two weeks of the season. But Miss Ottley and the Mark Jones' team were on fire on the coast and picked up many wins to just sneak past Sarah. Sarah finished eighth in the Drivers' Premiership. Well done Samantha and Sarah. Samantha UDR: 0.1873 Sarah UDR: 0.2106
  4. i don't believe it my old mate. Just been to Roxborough on TAB website and still no markets. What the fuck is going on Brodie? It is so incompetent. I reckon you or I could do a market for that meeting in half an hour mate! Fuckling hopeless. You know what mate, I can't be bothered. I'm not going to bet at Roxborough lost interest. Wake up TAB, I"m close to giving up betting...
  5. And another thing mate I want to get on early and then forget about it. I don't want to be sitting around watching markets etc. Get them on and get outside, forget about life. It's OK if you sit at home with the sound off watching Trackside because their gf or boyfriend doesn't like racing like many on here my old mate. Then they can whack on the Whales tips or some other hot tip. But that's not for me mate. I want to get on early and get outside.
  6. Mate, come on. I am hearing you but what happens in Australia nothing to do with the Central meeting. The bookies are useless. They must know all the horses racing at Omakau and Roxbourughout surely. Most fields same horse start week in week out down there. Form is obvious so should be able to make a market easily I would have though. Bloody computer would do a better job than those hopeless TAB bookies fucking uselesss m old mate.
  7. On the money again my old mate. Don't get me started on the tAB bookies. How useless are they. I would like to know why there are no fixed odds up for the Central meetings yet? WTF The fields have been out for days. Fixed odd betting should be available now on the upcoming Omakau and Roxburgh harness meeting. Hopeless mate
  8. That's correct. I have had a few bonus bets, they were generous at the beginning, $70, but after I won a few in a row with healthy returns and then the bonuses offered not so generous. Now I get $40 bonus offer if lucky. I seldom take them up unless I have a special but not many of those around for me at the moment. You also don't get the full odds because they deduct the bonus bet from the winnings. I guess if you lose consistently the bonus bets keep on coming?
  9. I think the TAB are concentrating on Sports betting, my old mate. They can make a killing there. Look at all the money The Warrior fans invest. One game was the second or third highest turnover. WTF. The Warriors are useless, overhyped and overrated. They seldom win but their dumb fans keep on backing them. TAB must make millions of the Warrior fans alone. Then there's the Blues too. Why would they want to attract punters that can win consistently like you and me, when they can get mug Warrior fans that lose every week? Joke mate.
  10. Both !!! and the arsenic "tonic" 😇
  11. The real top horses like Gammalite race well whatever the track, distance, surface, way of going... that's why they are Champions!
  12. As I have said my old mate, don't blame me. I never voted for Jacinda, never would. I have never understood the cult like following she has. Weird. I have always shared the same view as Mr John Minto has of her... she says what the crowd wants to hear... Fools will probably give them another term... election bribes will be doosies!!
  13. On the money, again
  14. I say again my old mate. Where is the bully ex bookie Racing Minister? Invisible man?
  15. Westport not a punter friendly course my old mate. I don't bet there. As you say front runners track. The only time you will see them coming from the back is if it is a wet track. Then there is usually a firmer patch out wide on the track. Ian Cameron used to win a few at Westport in the wet coming down the outside. It will be hot at the MOT, mate. Another track that i don't bet often but I'm having a couple of dabbles tomorrow. Good luck all
  16. I agree and I am not bagging Cran Dalgety. I think it is great that he decided to concentrate on the training and leave the driving to others. Mr Dalgety always uses top drivers that is one of the reasons why he is a successful trainer. Unfortunately, my old mate, many trainers don't follow Cran's example and instead drive themselves. We both know stables that would have enjoyed more success if the trainer had used top drivers instead of himself.
  17. His driving record is poor. What was his UDR? I bet it was low, probably around 0.490 if that?
  18. Look, you're a breeder mate. The Carter driving gene comes from the dams' side. The sire couldn't drive. It's the Butt genes. That's why Brodie thinks Carter is the best, because i hear he has always had a soft spot for lovely Chrissy Butt...
  19. Geez HP bit early to be on the Christmas sherry? Did Cran ever driver a winner? Get real!
  20. Sarah taught Carter how to drive mate during the three years she worked for Kentuckiana Stables. Agree, about Thornley all good horse handlers. Olivia drove Oscar Bonavena well on Friday night. All the best my old mate
  21. Sarah the best since Dexter Go Sarah....
  22. Look don't get snarky with me, mate. I'm just calling how i see it and I am not the only one saying that Westport is stuffed. Sure, some parts of the town will be liveable but the rest won't be. The town is dying and the racing too. It's sad but it's reality...
  23. I agree, but probably too late to do anything now? The horse has bolted, sad. The West Coast betrayed once again by Kind Jacinda and Labour. But they will keep on voting for them...
  24. The whole of Westport is on the way out my old mate. Flooding will worsen there and soon they won't be able to get insurance for properties etc. Westport will be a ghost town in 20 years time. The racing will be finished long before then, two years max!
  25. Yes, and a lot of trainers that used to take teams to Westport are retired or have scaled back, eg Ian Cameron etc. There are also not many trainers now on the West Coast, Marlborough and Nelson. Many horses from those areas used to compete on the Coast circuit, not now. Costs also soaring. The government is to blame for the upcoming recession. And where is the Racing Minister, the bully ex-bookie? Joke!
