  1. ffs
  2. True. But he had a case there. I don't see one here ... yet.
  3. It is very difficult to imagine what grounds they might have for a Judicial Review of the appeal process.
  4. Another appeal against the appeal decision?
  5. Yes, it was 12k to assist with the upgrade of the Kumara track made in Feb 20.
  6. You simply don't get it do you? The primary object of the Westland club is to conduct race meetings at their home course in Hokitika. The right to do so was removed by the RB and NZTR. The purpose and intent of their constitution is quite clear. In the event of dissolution, subject to legislative requirements, "The Club will seek NZTR approval to dispose of surplus assets for the benefit of residents of Westland". All they have done is pre-empted the NZTR approval of that by acting as and when they did. There never was an object or intent to provide for the "betterment of West Coast racing" though they appear to be doing that anyway by supporting this petition and the loan to Kumara, for example.
  7. Why? They are a viable racing club with money in the bank, loaned money to Kumara last season and are supporting the idea of a 4th day in the circuit. They don't need land for that do they? Nor any more money for that matter.
  8. I'd say it was more like the industry gave them the finger, possibly a couple and they reacted as they did which seems appropriate to me in the face of that kind of treatment.
  9. I don't have a major problem with the ad either if that's what they want to do, however, I question the veracity of the $80m figure and wonder how that was arrived at and whether it meets advertising standards. Also, if I do say $1m per year of turnover with overseas operators and almost never watch trackside, what is the use of it even if it is effective? Not much use if it doesn't reach me. I'd never seen it either till it was posted on the NZTAB site.
  10. You could take an all up?
  11. What rule is that? They are required to be ridden in front of the stand though the stipes can exempt that from memory.
  12. Are they there to bury the dead, or maybe test if they can get the drainage water to run below the water table level?
  13. How else would they get them? Illegally? I did check some out a couple of weeks ago for a possible bet but there was no pricing and the races came up as abandoned before they were run.
  14. I take it you mean the breeding industry?
  15. Don't know what in the rules allows for that. It's based on riding days isn't it?
  16. Sorry but I can't be bothered corresponding with them any more.
  17. Yep. Same photo showing SYB in front.
  18. The noseband to the eyes has nothing to do with it. The other horse's nostril is over the line when PI's is just on it.
  19. Looked pretty clear to me.
  20. Yes. It's a photo of the finish. Not the actual photo finish photo so you can't tell anything from that.
  21. I know but where is the line?
