Hey Gospel, Tots open to ideas. Just want a fun comp with a prize, that peeps participate in. Perhaps we could do it how you suggest. Just didn’t want those that put in to feel like the winner was taking their money lol. Hence put it as a small donation & said the pot could go to anyone, including those that didn’t contribute as the winner. So far think we have $50 which is you, me, Chief + 2 others, + think we will be getting $30 from anonymous dona which makes $80 if that is correct. Which would make 5 peeps playing for $80 so far. Be great to get to $100, so to do that just need 2 more peeps to donate & join. Am unaware of the names of other posters included - guess if 1 of them, doesn’t want to make selections then someone else could be nom-ed on their behalf to do so, but IF they win, the pot goes to that $ dona. Haha maybe that is what I might do, get someone else to make selections for me. That would include more peeps. So like we have a horse and a driver, a team of 2. Gamms could be my horse & Ill be the driver ready with my stick out incase he’s not winning ready to give him a crack hahahaha. But of course if you want to put selections in yourself too that is fine. Or the team of 2 could split selections, make 1/2 each. Options, options. Pre-bonus points: Gamms already has 2 points Taupiri has 2 points Big Bang has 1 point Which could be separated to go towards 1 of the other comps. Thoughts?

On the money here Roman, Spirit is now showing as being exported, yet is still ranked for Jewels dropped from 6th to 8th spot for TAB futures winner with only 6 weeks to go. Prior his export status he was ranked 111 on actual Jewels rank- not sure how TAB think he will get the qualifying stake money being in Oz now & all to make a stage producing feature. They have Steel the Show ranked behind him at 9th after a nice 3rd in Taylor Mile. Still puzzled by this Spirit pre-ranking TAB thing.

We have already set the fun game selection, not sure everyone understands as Chief also doesn't quite follow it. Rules are under "Check your numbers, draws up" thread. However we have hit our $50 minimum target and thinking we could do a different comp too so have 2 comps. Thinking perhaps you might like to decide/chose the format for comp 2.? 😃 So for competition 2. only people that make selections can enter it, but comp 1 everyone ALL posters have been entered 😃 Comp 2. the $50 minimum prize would go towards a bet on the last or 2nd to last race Jewels Day to contribute towards the turnover for day. The Comp 1. prize will be a cash prize given minimum $50.

That is good info to know - slushy but fast. In Stripes report a driver reported that "racing into the first bend vision their had become heavily impaired". That would of been challenging for sure for all drivers. So they all did well considering these slushy but fast conditions. How good is the 5 Wise Men, might have to start following that horsey 😃

Was thinking, pending if we get enough donations, that we could add 1 more comp to it. Like a comp pick a winner or similar but be run separate to the original comp. Where only people that make selections are in it, and the win must be spent on a bet on 2nd to last or last race of day, so winner advises Chief what horse to put $ on. That way we are putting into/contributing to the turnover for the day. But the other prize REMAINS as a CASH prize to winner.

Great market to target Brods. You are on the money and Im off to bed. As for Off the cuff I can only think of Luk Chin as being the only Asian trainer in NZ over the years. I heard someone said about him, He earns thousands, as Dr Luk Chin, Yet he choses to risk his life with these horses. Personally for me Karrots, Iv seen more than 1 of his horses play up at start of a race and 1 fall to the track. Hence S.C, keeps a watchful eye out for him. Bless him.

Was just thinking, But for example I have friend that I have told, look a tkt I cannot guraneetee you, to the Jewels to sit with us, therefore its in air if they will make it, depends if we can get ticket ... Tickets in certain areas have sold out btw. This person is could a potential owner, as is a 1-2 share holder in a successful share broker company in NZ and is SO keen to come to Jewels for day, just to get away from Auckland work and stuff! They have potential clients, they speak with on a daily basis, whom they could say to hey come along to this Jewels thing day. People that have money.
