Didn’t include some of the South ones for now, as no clue if they plan to trek North eg Steel the Show, Cranbourne Belmont Major.

With the 4 y-o Classics fast approaching lets take a look at who most likely will contest. The thing I am liking is that most likely the race will run with all horses running on their own merits. As 1 stable will not dominate. And if someone gets lead, they will not have a fear that should they hand to the right one, they most likely will not end up 3 or 4 back. I'v put in my order whom my rankings are atm. Of course like with, Jewels this could change. Have I missed anyone? Who are yours in rank order? How will the tough top mare Amazing Dream go against the boys her age group this year? She won the Northern Derby last year didn't she. We can use this thread to post on these races as they come up. Time for results, No-one got the trifecta, they are challenging to get! The closest was myself, Roman & Galahs with Krug & BD Joe, Davis had The Falcon in his selections. What a gallant effort by Williamson & Pembroke P. I thought down the back he was going to win, I stood up off my chair, thinking, oh my he has got this, but it was not to be tonight. Well done anyway. Can take 3rd place knowing they gave it a good crack! Sweet Lou 2y-o was ok in 3rd. What a win by Muscle Moutain & B Hope. Where did that come from. Yeehaa. Congrats to them & B Hope on Group 1 victory! Krug wins from the front, congrats to connections. Maybe its time for me to call him the champion hehe.

Nah not really for me at Alex tonight, so Ill just do the usual follow Lous, only 2 in, 1 is starting fav & the other Bankers Gold might get in a place, paying nice place money. Like his chances, if he can get to the top without burning too hard first quarter. Will he prove too good once dictating in front or will the A-Team be able to peg him back or any of the “Others” for that matter? 2. Will Krug get Karrots seal as champion 3-yo? Can he come from behind if he doesn’t make lead, work during race and still win? While I have him as best current 3y-o, he still doesn't have the champion yet seal from me. On Boxseat last nite, he was interviewed & Guerin said he spoke to him on ph at length, & he said he's NOT handing lead up on Fri. He wants lead & will park the Cullens runners this time. Music to my hears, nearly did the happy dance when I heard that. Good luck to the "others" on Fri. Means "Others" should have lead/trail/3 back, oppose having to be the chasers. They A-team can do the chasing. Gives others a fighting chance. Of course P Playboy, has to make the lead. Another "other" could want it & want to hold it too. If A-team still quinella, that is fine, at least the "others" will make it as hard as poss for them. Race on 😄

Ok, gosh I can't remember when exactly I was told this, either Dec or Jan or Feb. Seems a strange thing for an employee there to say to a mate, that then that mate has then passed onto me. But could be some trouble or something, like Alex, and maybe not fully dismissed but warned. Altho they for sure told me dismissed. But you know how Chinese Whispers goes, in saying that too, when there is smoke there is usually fire.

Seems they were warned not to do it by a small handful of down-voters as per the article. I heard (so not sure if this is fact or fiction) there were things under the ground where they were building, therefore due to this the advice from people that knew the history of the land ALSO said NOT to do it. And these things under the ground was a core problem that set them back among other things. I asked recently how did it end up so badly financially?, Short answer was they didn't listen to people that had experience & knowledge & they tried to do something they had no experience doing. Personally I like the idea & as I said it lifts the whole area. It is very nice. Just a shame they didn't just sell the land for a profit to property developers to do it, oppose trying to do it themselves. I actually think they did re sell commercial properties they were trying to sell. But to confirm for sure it's prob best to wait for the next update and I can update for sure then. Unless Eljay might know for sure. My re-collection is that regardless the club is still worth millions. But again Id need to reconfirm.

Ok, umm, anything I have seen has been a loss in millions, I can post or PM you when the latest update is that I get my hands on. Someone said (their opinion) "that it might turn out that they lose the land & make nothing from it, best case scenario". It is alleged that the person that was in charge and I guess ultimately made the decisions which ended up being bad ones. That after leaving the club & got another job, was soon dismissed from that new role, for un-performing or something similar. Heard that 3rd hand I guess you would say. The 1st hand person randomly works at the same place. But as it's 3rd hand to me, its just a rumour.

Did a quick update, it's a changing tide. Given 2 horses to those that were on a 2y-o trotter that had moved out of top 12. Still 2 months to go tho. Thinking might add in another points based thing, eg give everyone a number & race number prior draw, eg Gamms horse Number 10 in Race 2. (so whoever horses draws that number in that race will be your horse also for Jewels day).
