OMG Ranga, I just did the "they thing", the "they" that Guerrin was talking about. To clarify, because I have not seen the Harnessed-X-press article, I am not sure why he left. I do recall reading somewhere that he said he emailed HRNZ to express concerns about a topic & he was ignored as per usual. That to me is what I am talking about. You do not ignore a trainer. I mean, maybe if he is emailing like 700 times in like 4 months like I am here with BOAY posting, posting, posting like dis. Then maybe ignore .... But I don't think dat happening 😛 .

Thanks Ranga. I heard that too. I really want to see the article. Think I heard he is quite a successful man, like property developer or something. So has some smarts about him. Why they couldn't see this. He was nice to me at Alex Park bar Lyell Creek room, said hi etc when standing next to waiting to be served. I think as I was with a group of newbies and he recognised this, wanting newbies to feel welcome. Didn't realise who it was til later someone said. As I said, I think it is a loss to industry.

What is the deal with T Vince leaving? It is in the Harness Express. I have not seen the article. So maybe out of turn. Why did he leave? Was he being ignored … Did he feel he was not listened too …? I have no idea. Checking his stats, he was in the game for approx a decade. From what I can see brought value in. Supporting the Jnrs & Amatuers & also drivers that had just come out of North Jnrs that without his support would have next to no drives. Why has there not been an article in HRNZ of him or a video of his farewell & the positives of what he brought through-out his career? Does it matter if you don’t see eye to on on some things. Or even if he left in maybe a huff. Eg Gamms, & I don’t see eye to eye on the team/stable driving thing, do you think long term this will effect our relationship - No. Maybe people need to start thinking of long term effects of things if they want to save the game we all love. Looking at the Juniors in the North this is not a promising outlook. Im starting to get a projection of the future 10-20 years from now re Harness esp in the North. And I consider myself an optimistic person.

Ok. I had thought it was as the last couple were unfortuntely timed during lockdowns, no regional travel between Camb/Auks, therefore as you say lack of numbers. Maybe a combined of a few things, lack of numbers, lack of noms & timing travel restrictions. Moving onto this week & there we go again, North Jnrs race wont run this week due to lack of noms, only 5 Camb. As mentioned in another thread (Harness x-press) with T Vince no longer licensed is a shame & in my view a loss, he supported these races. Perhaps he may have nom-ed 2 to get it off the ground had he still be licensed.

Was just thinking, wonder if it might be worth their while having a website if they don't already that has * the headings to all their articles per issue & a link to click onto each. Then if anyone that doesn't subscribe wants to pay per article they want to read they could. Have to pay before it appears. They could either have a set price per article or price it based on what they think they value of article is eg $1 - $10 They could also release a small number daily on website or even 1 per day, that way they get daily traffic to website. They could then get advertising money from website & also google ads similar to how BOAY works with ads that appear. Got to think outside the square if times are tough these days 😁 Then also have the regular subscribers who receive the full weekly version. The website could also promote up and coming articles and news.

A - he was still a junior driver at beginning of this season B - must be still in 20’s C - as you stated, people still learn things all the time. D - as I stated “word is” - which means I did not say it. Which also means how the heck should I know, what the people who said it, as to how long with time to (them) means. I took it as a positive, a compliment. Viewing it as the glass 1-2 full, oppose 1-2 empty. I would much prefer someone to describe as will improve with time, oppose will get worse with time.

Guessing that is T Vince from the horse transfers. Shame it seems to me losing him. He seemed to support the junior races and amateur races etc.

Ok just watched vid & it the horse was shortening stride, it looked tired. And it started going a lil wonky too, running in a bit, like because it was tired. As said before harsh fine.

This J Young-Grant fine to me is harsh. If I was hit with say a parking fine & it was $400. 400 smackeroos I’d be thinking dam dat a big one. With her stating in her opinion, “he was doing his best and had nothing left”, wonder where the animal welfare consideration was regarding that in handing out penalty. On a similar but different note when I read rules recently it states that one has to ride a horse out if it has reasonable chance of placing up to 5th. It used to be 6th. But was amended. Wonder if it needs to be reviewed again. I don’t know about this 5th place thing. Isn’t it better to drop a point and finish 6th than 5th, with such minimal 5th place stake difference compared to the others - excluded the higher stake races.

Yes great to see so many passed in Lots selling. Was wondering the other day how much they made from the sale including those final figures including those initially passed in lots then selling. 10% + a fee per horse I think it is ... Then less expenses. Any guesses?

He got the draw over his rivals & to lead. In saying that what a magnificent win it was. Full credit to winner. For me I'd need to see him sit outside American Dealer or another of those listed & see if he can win. Like how Bettor Twist, Amazing Dream etc can. When he does that then I'm happy to label top dog. Congrats tho to connections, what a win 👍😀
