I agree with this Ramsay in that I don't get it. Why do people want to do this, if this is the case. Doping or whatever it is that maybe going on 😟

He is on Boxseat again today. Really good talk I thought about calendar if to change or not, what is involved if so, punting/punters betting offshore and YES Brods this will be music to your ears, he said if they stop/disallow betting offshore then the TAB needs to look at not restricting punters, something along those lines. They also spoke about horse numbers in North issue. Also what came up was they showed Cullens new colours and said he would be using them from Ashburton. So guess that means from tomorrow.

Ohh Fitzy in with the wild herd. This time is pinning his ears back & giving a good nip back. Is Blossom Lady about to put the boot in again. Will Fitzy hold his ground again & give a decent kick back.

Is that you Forbs? Altho I did see in another thread of Basils that Forbs has gone. I thought he might re-appear again soon. Forbs? 😄 Just joking. Ranga - ok cool so we both be watching and hoping Spirit of St Lou goes well.
-
Hey Ranga 👋 How are you doing today? Who do you think will win or go close in any of the feature races tonight at Alex? Im looking forward to seeing how Spirit of St Lou goes. Seems like he isn't at his best & of course 1st start back. By the way Copy That sprinted past him at workout surprised me. I always thought he had a decent sprint on him. Hence think he just isn't quite how he was when he was at the top of his game.

Hi Bloss do you have a problem with this person and if so why?
-
My observation this is standard by Bloss. For example came hard at you in another post which resulted in you stopping posting. Now this. Also in recent other posts has just posted to put people down or name call eg Galah (clown), Newmarket (stupid & most stupid post), Whiplash (clueless & gin drinking etc), me (silly & a drunk & sick of my posts). This all in a short space of time. In my opinion Im yet to read anything on the horses of real value & contribution from Bloss's posts.

Do you know him personally?

Utilise the resources around them more. Do the people currently living in the new development are any of them new owners? Or have any of them been told about potential ownership? Or who to contact should they maybe interested? At minimum being pro-active and a mention by the Club. Then if they have friends over who ask about the horses, as they are neighbours and part of the Alex Park community & can see the horses come race day go around, then the person living in each apartment can tell them. Some as the retailers.

Overall sale did well. Looking at Sweet Lous stats in CHC is disappointing. Must be too for the vendors of Sweet Lous. Sweet Lou Average $16,438 Compared to new sires Vincent Average $43,071 Always B Miki $26,615 Downbytheseaside Average $20,667, His credentials in comparison to the new sires with no credentials yet bar Always B Miki doing well in USA with 1st crop. 2016 - 70 live foals / Group 1 winner Sweet on Me + Group 2 winner Virgil at 2y-o - also had a NZ Cup nom Spirit of St Lou + 50% win strike rate (current age of crop 4 y-os) 2017 - 67 live foals / Harness Millions winner Aladdin 2018 - 86 live foals / Early 2 y-o winner Celtic Spirit Naturally the top sires have a big numbers difference on him as below. He has the most live foals season 2019 & 2020. Which was probably why he had so many at sale, but just wasn’t really supported in CHC. I suspect his class of 2019 & 2020 when they hit the track with such a big numbers jump their presence will be noticeable. Live foals Bettors D 2016 - 202 2017 - 215 2018 -136 Live foals Art Major 2016 - 151 2017 - 117 2018 - 82 Live foals American Ideal 2016 - 103 2017 - 81 2018 - 67

Ceremony crowning King Eljay, King of pick the Top Lot. Winning with his prediction of a phone bid. Any thoughts on the overall sale? On another note heard them say Cullen has his colours done now 👏
-
Hang on, forgot about Eljays ph bid guess. Just saw, while taking a sneaky peak, a ph bid new top lot of $320k. If that holds then 1 of us WILL take the crown. Is it too early to congratulate Eljay ... 👏
-
New Top Lot at $310k Chicago Bulls & Perfect Strides bro. Its just $1k above Karrots guess of 300k - 309k - but still its over. So regardless of end sales results, no-one will take the crown as everyone guessed lower. All in good fun anyway. Thought it might go a bit higher than $300k of Auckland sale.
-
Remember when JJ thought Chief was Karrots. Not trolling, just triggered a memory 😄 Playing Battleship against himself would be challenging no.

Brodie didn’t ask a question, it was more an observation or statement. But it is a good question, why was the pass-in lots high. So you and trainers felt the look/feel of the horses were not that great. Interesting. Wondered if the reserves on some may have been too high ... Also too with more to choose from over 2 days, oppose Auks just having the 1 day, also maybe as they said Breckon opened the pandora box and the overall quality of Day 1 sale was top notch so I read. Don’t know the answer, just some thoughts as to maybe some possibly contributing factors … Anyway will check results with interest later today. And see who takes the top lot guessing game crown/s.

The Jnrs continue to get results. Mana mini meeting yesterday. 4 races offered a penalty free win if driven by Jnr. With the Jnrs taking out 2 of the 4, also with a couple of placings. Not bad stats considering there are only 3 Jnrs driving in the fields. So more senior drivers in the races. Of course I understand that trainers would be putting on Jnrs where they feel they have a real chance at winning. Still need to drive well. The 3 are: L Whittaker & A Harrison - these two are fighting out the top North Jnr on points so far and S O’Reilly - she has been coming up North for Camb and Mana meetings to drive in these races. She has caught the eye of Karrots. Nice driver.

Check this out, 1 of the best owners, Feiss, so far she has gone ALL for new sires only for her class of 2019. Weanling sales - 2 Vincents, 1 Downbytheseaside Yearling sales - 3 Vincents, 1 Betting Line Will see what happens today as the final sales day. Also how her stock get on come race-day with that unknown sire factor. Interesting.
-
At 2nd glance of final sales results, I noted that Fleiss brought 3 Vincent's. All lovely lookers. Good to have a top buyer like her buying his stock. Esp for a yet to be proven. Right Im logging off for evening. Now I better not go dreaming about the horsey sales lol. Nite all.

Ok thanks for sharing that story Ranga. Ill share a story with you now. Hope you find it semi amusing, even if it is at my expense 😂 Last nite after posting briefly about Covid - I had a dream. Can still remember it so Ill share. Gamms/Whippy/me & a Russian gal were in a team of 4 & in a room discussing the comp & tactics. The room was dim like, no windows, (you know how dreams are). I couldn't see any of their faces. Then got on like a walkie talkie to Chief & Brodie, to tell them the rules of comp & advised them they needed to get 2 more posters to join their team. The thread was to be called Battleship like Battleship Galactica 😂 Rules were only had 10 mins to submit a post - reply. After 1 poster had posted they were eliminated, also any name calling would result in elimination, so it eventually left with 1 person both teams to post the final debate post. And then the judges would be posters on BOAY. Now Im dreaming about BOAY oh dear lol.
-
Oh Taupiri Wonder was a horse. I see. I thought Taupiri Wonder the poster was named after the place Taupiri. Still need to allocate him another horsey, a few 2 y-os lining up tomorrow at trials Nth Canterbury. A couple more posters to be allocated horses too. Hunts holds the lead with the boys at the top of the Jewels leader chart with Classy Op. Can he hold the lead … Argyle lines up in a maiden race at Alex. No sign of wee Sugar Apple. Karrots is a long & lonely last on the leader board 😯

Last update on todays sale. Heard G O’Connor say - 62% clearance rate So 38 % unsold But this could change if people neg some of those passed in lots.
-
Update, 240 bang on Trotsfan takes my crown, waaaahhh. New top lot of today. I'm watching it now & that was quite the bidding war, and the horsies just keep coming out.
-
I think, now this could be wrong as I just had a quick look, but more than 40 passed in lots so far and approx 100 lots have gone thru the ring.
-
The catch phrase of today must of been “I can’t do that” How disappointing so far for the sale today for all. Hopefully tomorrow it picks up … At this stage looks like no-one guessed the top lot but Gamms at 200-209 and Robalan 220-229 are the closest. $215k a Vincent Feiss buyer Still tomorrow is the final day. Looks like there are a few more to come thru. But the passed in lots are noticeable.
