Yes it was a fantastic effort, Karrots was a lil concerned looking at his final selections & then mine going into final races. Was more hope that Spirits would be put in race at some stage, but it was not to be & the crown has moved on. Next challenge, new strategy to try & get crown back, no just taking my "favourites" - Gamms did try & warn me.

Gamms you are funny, still chatting about this, I had thought we had moved on lol. Out of interest I took a bo-peep at wording of the current rules regarding this, The rules state during the running of race, no-one including a driver, shall run a horse or cause or permit a horse to be run other than on its own merits. For me assisting stable mates aka team driving is borderline. I have not seen this year what I would deem as team driving. Which I think is great and is fair play 😁 While the rule remains worded as it is, there is obviously an opportunity to team stable drive. Which I see your point as being excellent for those that are able to do this. But the majority of others within a race, it is not. Anyway lets get this subject back to topic 😁 Think Nth Jnrs have not had a Jnr drive only race Feb at all, so lets hope they get a race to have a crack in sometime soon during March 👍

And then there was just 1 poster left! What a great effort tonight from Jonny Longshot so far 5 out of 6. Can his final selection get up? Go Temporale! for a place And Jonny Longshot will take the selections crown. And his return would be $9.53 from $1!

The result of R7 leaves 2 posters Karrots & Jonny Longshot. R8 Karrots on Spirit of St Lou & Jonny Longshot on Christianshavtime both place. Then Jonny Longshot also has Temporale for a place in race 9. Can Spirit get up for Karrots or is Jonny Longshot going to walk away with the selections crown?

All 3 posters left survive R5, the telling race will be R7 with Its All About Faith a must win for Gamms, while again Karrots & Jonny Longshot both have the same runner for a place on American Dealer Will Krug just head to the lead & it be race over .... ? Will the draw prove too much for American Dealer to place .... ? The Oaks came from lead, trail and 3 back. Will it be the same for the Derby? We will know soon.

Jonny Longshot holds on with his multi with a place on Dance Til Dawn, heading into the R5 Darling Me must place for both Karrots & Jonny Longshot to stay in the hunt & Gamms on Bettor Twist to Win otherwise we ALL fall.

Richie - Davis - Whippy are the next to fall after Race 3. Who will be the next to go.

Whippy is still in with the winner R2 part of his early quaddie.

Oh yeah I read an article about some of the reasons, I just wondered too, if stable driving which didn't benefit her was also a contributing factor. It may or may not have been. All good tho and thanks for joining in the $1 game 😄

Gamms, I didn't think it was stable driving in the race you said. As HH was heading with intent anyway, looked like driver had made move at same time without realising the stablemate was going to go too & would of kept surging forward regardless who was in lead. I would of called it stable driving had, CB from the rear come forward and taken the lead making them lead, trail and 3 back. But honestly, we just hold different views to it, which is ok 😄. I dislike team driving & you like it. I wonder if it was a factor into Darling Me being transferred by the owners. I would of done the same thing too. In sense if my horse got lead, but then would hand up to the favoured stable runner. Now back to Alex back racing. More posters have joined 😄

So basically anytime a bigger stable lines multiple horses up they hold an advantage over all the other runners. If they chose to stable drive and give each other cover or hand up the lead to 1 another. I find this sad for those others in the race/s with just 1 runner. As that is not on an even playing field. There should be a rule if there is not already, that every horse entered in a race, runs on its own merits and not to be assisted by stable runners. We see this differently and that is totally fine. So lets agree to disagree. Chat later Gamms, no more takers yet for the $1 game. But hopefully Whippy comes thru with a Quaddy selection.

Hehehehe. Ok, so what you are saying is that if they stable drove then they would of finished 1st & 2nd. However they did not & they finished 1st & 3rd. The difference in these results if they had of used the assistance of stable driving, clearly shows stable driving is an advantage for those involved. And a disadvantage for those not involved. How is that fair play? Have you got your stubbie holder ready hehehe, big nite tonight racing 😄

Well they did it again, fighting out the finish of the highest rating race at Camb, a close head, nose finish to get 2nd & 3rd. What was a good highlight for me, was the fair play driving. Lead horse D Butcher did not give up lead, & parked stablemate A Harrison when making a mid-race move. Harrison not even look to take lead, was not there in any case. Donnelly runners finishing 1st & 3rd respectively. Another great example of Fair Play racing 😁👍

Absolutely, might just be you me & Gamms (has made his selections on the Harness Punting Page). But that is ok. I'll do a final post up with everyones selections here prior the start of the first so anyone who wants to follow can 😄

I have not even followed this particular issue Galhs, but now when I see Mr Lambs name appear, Im just instantly like sack You see after me following this site for 12+ months & getting the gist of it from you guys, I was the 1st to suggest on here to start a petition to sack after the NZ Harness Cup as a newbie to BOAY. That was meet with instant distain from a gallops poster Jess. Well we all know how things transpired. I still hold the same view.

Ok gamms, I got $3 and $1.50 for a multi both win which brings $4.50 but all good, I am 12 mins slow, so Ill give it to you at $5 😁

Oh dear I am too busy swanning around on BOAY that I missed the 1st race at Camb. Ill try and also add balance, Im prob too nice & positive. So here goes a more constructive criticism post. I find D Ferg to be a hit or miss driver. I liken it to when I get a photo taken. It's always very hit or miss also 😂 Be great for both of us when it is just HIT, HIT, HIT 😄 Word is tho that he is a very hard worker and will improve with time to become a great driver moving forward 😄
