I some how missed this Unhinged. Nice๐ ๐
-
That is what I was thinking. Did not see race, so watched replay. Was running on nicely.
-
Ps and this mare, it's not like she has left duds either. She is too young too. Don't want to give away details on here. I thought her breeding was nice enough too. My horsie is nice looking and growing all the time. Maybe she might end up on Gavel ... shame. I'm a bit surprised by it. Anyway nite all.
-
Heres the thing tho Hunter, the partner in weanling I brought was offered the mare recently. But turned it down. I only just found this out today. So feeling a bit disappointed. I would of taken her boohoo. I think for free, as the stud no longer wants her so owner phoning around. But could not persuade. Maybe if we do a bit more promotion of the Lou , and then hit Woodlands up hehehe. Ask for a discounted service or FOC for our promotion on here. Don't ask, don't get in life. Then what do you know. A bit of a yarn horsie horsie. Just putting out my thoughts. Gosh could you imagine, Mikie, Brodie, Rangi, Forbs, and co all in shares of a Bit of a yarn. Gosh it would never work hey. Shame.
-
On the money again Forbs.
-
Yes Forbs, wouldn't that be a hoot. And call horsie bit of a yarn. Might get into too many debates tho lol. Fun idea tho and dig the name.
-
Nice. And at no doubt out at Clevedon. I sometimes take a bo-peep under sire progency on HRNZ and put age at 0 - 0 and the new arrivals pop up. Can see mares served too. Under Fertility the numbers for 2021 are not out yet. I'm interested to see Miki's, Vincents (and other new sires) numbers. They could be chopping at Lou's hooves, but Lou has the head start. Can he use his advantage off the front tapes, or will the others on the 10m and 20m mark reel him in hehe. To be continued.
-
Just took a look at the yearling sales catalogue and blow me down, Sweet Lou has huge numbers, the most if not nearly most than any other sire. I had said in another topic thread that he might be the next top sire in NZ to dethrone Bettors in years to come. Due to his numbers and strike rate. Is this the start of the changing of the guard ... Ok, I'll try and refrain myself from no more Sweet Lou talk. I don't want to annoy the people. It is relevant tho. Not quite game yet to start a new topic thread, making the prediction that he for sure will be, but I'm getting closer to it.

Riding in on my white horse. Singing the Taylor Swift lyrics "Look what you made me do, look what you made me do, look what you made me do, oh look what you made me do". Aveross Spitfire by our side as we come to salute, especially for you Brodie ๐ Was only a 2 week mute out of this convo. Riding back out getting my disco inferno on, belting out the lyrics "Burn baby burn, burn baby, burn baby, burn baby burn" Chuckles.

Oh he ended up being disqualified did he. There was a couple of peeps from group that bet on him and a couple that bet against, so everyone was wanting a different result. And it was a debate, mostly people thought he would be safe and not get disqualified, but then everyone left and didn't wait around for the final result.
-
Well done Forbs, congrats, sizzle, sizzle. I didn't have a bet, just enjoyed watching. Tommy Lincoln was driven in a way to give him, his best chance of winning. Congrats to the connections. I hope Darling Me, is driven in final, in a way she is given her best chance. It's clear now after x2 she cannot run past her stablemate in straight, when she simply hands up, and it is lead - trail. Race 8, I was again watching out for the, 2 Sweet Lous. It's hard to see exactly what's going on when at track. Hearing the commentator say "all the other drivers want to keep him out 3 wide". Then parked him. Maybe I was being a bit naughty when I had a quiet chuckle to myself. Nice, Lou quinella nevertheless.

Thanks G, I have firmed up plans to go ๐ Yes race 7 looks like a nice race and yeah small fields hey. Now the big challenge is pick a winner. Took a quick look and Mr Fantastic is paying $2.20 for a place, only has to beat 2 runners home, but the question is can he do that in that field... ? Hmm, not sure. Maybe select again ... Oh and thanks G and Rangatira for adding to this convo saves me talking to myself lol. Maybe first sign of battiness, openly ok with publically talking to oneself haha. Signing off for day/nite. Don't want to be overbearing on here. Happy punting all.

Yeah, had the nice 2nd last start. Might keep an eye out for it, now since you mentioned it.
-
Wonder who is going to win the fillies sires heat tonight ... Think its the last heat til the final. Could be heating up to be a nice final after the results of Heat 3. lll be rooting for my 2 Sweet Lou fav's again tehe.

Yip ๐

Oh yes Chief I saw that. I was meaning, overall no harm. In my mind the driver put the horse wellbeing first.
-
Was this the info you desired/required? What are you thoughts on the Mana driver being stood down and the term set out? A specific example that come to my mind, is the same horse but different drivers. The horse is currently 1 of the best in NZ. Here is an example of the driver pulling him out of the race. Earlier on in his career he took off in a race, was the tear away leader, the driver allowed him to just run. No harm come to this horse in either incidents, with both drivers opting to handle differently. https://harness.hrnz.co.nz/gws/ws/r/infohorsews/wsd06x?Arg=hrnzg-Ptype&Arg=RaceVideo&Arg=hrnzg-RacehdrID&Arg=276999&Arg=hrnzg-rSite&Arg=TRUE

I'm back in the North now, so might go to Alex tonight. Funnily enough tho this week, as it was, drove past 3 different South Island tracks. With 1, I was like oh I'v seen this in a picture on HRNZ, with the mountains with snow on in the background. Very picturesque.

Yes Happy. I think, we on here, as a collective group are umm, how do I put it #sharp ๐ค Don't miss a beat. Stretching the topic subject a bit, still on North racing and drive/ers, watching Camb, my fav North Jnr is Alicia Harrison. I know we all have our favs ๐ I hope borders open up in not too distant future. Might go batty otherwise ๐

This particular race and drive has come up on here already. If you take a look at the thread Central Districts / Manawatu topic, page 2, Galah brings it up as it was unusual and a standout. and I spoke of it also. This was what I wrote "Yes I saw that and held my breath. Was a good job, everyone horses included ended up being safe". Galah also brought up the same horse and driver on Day 1, as he felt that driver breached of a rule. As mentioned the driver got time out for Day 2s drive the 1 you refer to. What are you thoughts on the sentence he received?

Hi Katch22 Just saw this as heading out, asking in a nice way, what is this research for? And is it for a positive or negative angle? Objective or subjective? Thanks

Great info, link and convo, those who have kindly come in and joined. Rusty has gone MIA. But thats all good. I'm keeping my eye out now for Ladies in Red after the Rusty tip. Tuning now into Gavel House ๐ Adios Amigos/Amigas for now ๐ K

Rusty, Grammalite, Davis or Dougie? (1 of the later 2 is based in Oz, I remember reading a comment), maybe 1 of those named here might be able to answer? I do recall seeing that fillies or mares and 3 year olds and juniors get concessions eg minus a certain amount of points, when they start off their rating I think ... but don't quote me on it. other than that Im of no help sorry B.

I got tired of reading this 3/4 thru so stopped. What was going thru my mind was what a lot of work this has taken, over someone that said the F bomb, 1 too many times. Agree with the defendant that a red flag should have been picked up earlier. And had it been handled in a different manner it may not have escalated as it did. In saying that the defendant was a bit naughty, in not using their taringas & taking horse to workouts & gearing. Well the saying "write and regret, say and forget goes out the window" here.

Yeah I know. What HTP likes or doesn't like is his/her thing. You must of missed this topic thread. Here is the exact wording. best luck with your sweet Lou they are very nice horses karrots Hope that helps.
