Yes happy, I for 1 have appreciated Brodie pointing out this domination as potentially detrimental to all others. Anyway Im not going to debate it more as its the endgame. On another side note, watching the final Mana races, and put a fun bet on, as my position is to support the club today since they are back. And while I really like Aaron White and his commentary. Karrots is thinking, Karrots would prefer to eat something else than just Karrots. Why not J Teaz or someone else ... But that is a whole other subject and I understand the cuts made.
-
I can totally see both sides of debate. Hence I'm liking eveyone's comments lol. We could debate this on and on, here is the thing tho, its a done deal - it's over. It would be pleasing to see them get a well deserved send off in some way as a recognition for the time, energy, and amazing achievements and legacy they will leave. Moving forward it will be an interesting watch this space to see what happens ... PS Gammalite - 1 sentence in your last post did make me smile. Oh and I saw on Newshub someone stole a horse ambulance - rego 26R38 from Awapuni Racing Centre - spreading the word.

And Stuff have it at the top of their mainstream news currently. Ok that is enough article sharing from Karrots now on this topic. Don't want to be OTT. https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/racing/123407857/mark-purdon-and-natalie-rasmussen-send-shockwaves-through-harness-racing-with-stable-shutdown

And here is another link, it says much of the same, but has the letter that was given to owners. https://www.lincolnfarms.co.nz/stories/all-stars-training-operation-to-end-todays-letter-which-shocked-the-harness-industry/

For sabbatical, nice good for them. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/horse-racing-new-zealands-most-successful-stable-all-stars-racing-to-be-disbanded/L57P2JXF7PV767PNRSLRXOTCOM/

Good luck to the Manawatu Club for the meeting tomorrow. They have posted some content already on their Facebook page. I'm not on social media, but can still read public made content. Thumbs up.

Missed the racing, but watched the replays. Didn't see anything funky. Nice to see on here instant recognition and praise. A good result all round 😃

Hey Im not going to engage further more than this. Its quite the hot topic, I did a bit of research myself today, found an article on harness link from 2014. Im not going to post it here, but it was interesting to say the least. The title was massive "Conflict of Interest". Here were parts of it Peter Lamb continues to be both a starter and a steward on raceday and in our view he cannot be both. Peter works very closely with his fellow stewards for weeks on end and then when a complaint is made against his performance as a starter, the people to decide weather to charge him are the same people who he works very closely with at every race meeting. We have had numerous approaches from horsemen/trainers who are unhappy about the current situation but are reluctant to speak out for fear rightly or wrongly of antagonizing those who have control over how they earn their income.

Hey Galah, I do not believe this is sour grapes from Green. The people have spoken. Power to the people. Stronger in numbers. There was a petition circulating, there was a lot of online chatter going on, there was dismay from horseman and drivers. And many more. Ill message you privately about a past post I want to give you facts on 🙂 Im was pleased you brought to attention.Back to subject, Rusty broke this news on here first. And Mikie followed it up. Please we collectively were on the money and not spreading mis-information.

https://www.lincolnfarms.co.nz/stories/lamb-sacked-after-cup-start-shemozzle-ricky-donnelly-takes-over-on-friday/ I saw the other site R A C E - C A F E had posted Mikies word for word comments re Lamb fired and press release to follow. Which is fine, have to get the up-to-date info from wherever the latest source is. So here it is - Barry Lichter from a public investigation journalist whom I enjoy very much reading his articles.
-
Hey sweet happy, my source was clear to me this is hear-say. I had wanted to wait and see until tomorrow how things transpired. However I saw Rusty had posted the exact same thing very shortly earlier. So hence then felt comfortable with posting, that I too had heard the exact same thing. Obviously, from what we had said that Mikie, then felt comfortable posting what he had also heard from also completely different source. I am very aware of circulating mis-information. So wanting to make it clear this is to be confirmed. We wait and see.
-
Omg finally figured it out how to quote something. Thanks for update. Interesting. Will await for it ... Do have a degree of sympathy, but obviously made my stance clear overall. Have been thinking about your new arrival btw. Have discovered private messaging too. Id love to see your new arrival & share with you mine new pride & joy. No longer do I have to annoy my inner circle with my new found harness enthusiasm. From feeling disheartened a couple of days ago to a potential renewed sense of energy. Enjoying reading everyones posts btw.
-
Yes Rusty, I have also heard that exact thing too. We shall await and see if it is fact or fiction hey 🙂

Hey Brodie, oh my, I certainly did not join this site after observing for 12 months + to engage in any sort of hostility with others. Quite the contrary. I value your opinion and thoughts. Yes I totally understood where you were coming from 100% regarding it. Then I felt it went on just too long. You deserve a right to reply considering it was me that brought the subject up here. However I will not debate the subject further. I have said my peace on this subject. I see the horse has had a change of trainer. No doubt more, online talk. I will be rooting for Aveross Spitfire and the horses connections to get that most challenging top 3 place.
-
Absolutely no problem Rusty. I shall endeavor to make enquires elsewhere for it. I have a lot of empathy for others. Never will I engage in name calling, nor make jokes at someone else's expense. And I even find the Aveross Spitfire thing somewhat mean, and bulling towards the connections. Before yesterday I had read noise about the starter, but thought I would come to my own conclusions. I plan to sign the petition.
-
Hi Rusty, I would like to add my name to the online petition. Is it possible to post the link, or direct me towards it or send link to me privately via here? I still have not yet figured out how to reply directly to a poster.
-
Ok no probs, was just a thought.
-
Just when I wanted to tap out of this conversation, had a thought. Someone should start a petition. This could be done online, or someone might have another idea how to do it to keep peoples privacy from one another on here. Happy? You are quite creative. You guys have loads of examples, I know because Iv read them. Be fair and respectful in the write up of it. The petition could be circulated directly within industry also. Thoughts?
-
Now I understand and see what people have been saying about this particular starter. Sigh, disheartened. Rinse and repeat. Keep speaking up about it. Push for change. Over and out.
-
Well as a collective group, we got it. With some individuals nailing it. My fun bet I opted for a % boxed trifecta, only made a small amount however. Even with having a small collect on the race, feel somewhat disheartened by the result. In saying that the owners of the top 3 all deserve everything they put in. It is what it is.
-
PS and Tipster HunterThePunter. See you all on the other side.
-
Thanks Tipster JJ, tipster Mikenz and tipster Mikie for your input of potential scenarios that could unfold. Also we had tipster Rusty speak earlier with a thought filled analysis. I still have yet to decide on my fun bet I will actually take. Now, Im swaying towards trying a 1st 4 or maybe even a horse to finish top 5. Happy punting and good luck everyone, if you are taking a bet. All the best, to connections for every horse that races tomorrow.
-
Tipster Richie and Tipster Globe have shared their scenarios. Presenting different and interesting ones. Will any of our scenarios be a hit or will we collectively as a group be a miss? Maybe we need a couple more scenarios, to up our odds of us collectively being on the money. Any takers?

2 more sleeps to go. And a weather tip has come in, it may not be the best. When selecting a winner, is tricky, we have another potential viable to consider. Tipster Happy has spoken, Tipster Karrots is struggling to chose 1 from 8 potentials. The others tipsters are playing it cool, biding their time. No word yet from the restricted. A bit of fun. Here we go: Winner: Copy That Why: So many different scenarios could eventuate. With every different scenario, equates to a different outcome. Who knows which scenario will take place. I hope this scenario comes into fruition. Copy That steps safely, a little slow, but he is away. The Fixer steps well, Robyns Playboy steps well, Mach Shard heads straight for the rail. A few runners ahead of him now, what does Orange do, he knows his chances are better if he stays ahead of Self Assured and Spankem who are behind him. He makes a move and times it perfectly. The lead horse hands to Copy That, knowing it will be in the trail the rest of the trip. Moves are coming from the pack, but Copy That puffs his chest out. They file into the running line. Turning for home, he holds the advantage, the crowd goes wild, they are coming for him. The North Island supporters hold their breathes. Can he hold them, will he hold them. Will the extra distance find him out ...

Awesome. Jordie Barrett - shame he is starting on the wing. Isn't it.
