    Feature meeting minimum prizemoney increases will apply across various levels including Maiden minimums moving from $10,000 to $15,000, and Open minimums from $32,500 to $40,000. Bit grey on this one……. Lots of Sat racing is Feature days….what are the minimums for those (excluding maidens)?

    You just don’t get it.... why would a horse need substances that have zero tolerance on race day in order to race. It’s black and white chief. Zero tolerance is zero tolerance. And for fast work, well if a horse needs those drugs to get through fast work, should they really be racing in a few days time....

    Is that not what recovery medication and supplements are for...... and given AFTER A RACE. or would you simply prefer to see horses drugged up so they run through pain barriers on the track artificially? You argue it’s not performance enhancing, but if a horse has blockers to help it through the pain barrier during a race that is still illegal performance assistance any day of the week.

    Chief, Why do you always have to put the boot into everyone on this site..... you really are doing a great job at driving people away from your own site. Any by the way, why should horses even be racing if they need therapeutic medication... I’m sure the woke green washing individuals out there will have a field day if our trainers keep this up.

    Chief you think 2 out the 4 is a good result? What’s happened to the rest of the Karaka million field and all the horses pushed to try and make the millions race? Only 2 around now is case in point.

    Yep a disgrace Huey. The obsession with the Karaka Million has helped cannibalised the back end of the 2yr old season (plus many other reasons) . Now should be when 2yr olds are peaking (performance and number of runners).

    We are not just debating timelines......we are debating facts (which you always police us about on here). You said..... “The only positive returned was the hay from a new supplier which had only been supplied the week of the races and only in the barn that Vamos Bebe was housed. That hay has been removed and fed to Te Akau's cattle. The RIU investigation was across all this” Is this factual?

    Chief - you are the one telling the story. You quoted it on here, so i guess you are the one with the theory’s . As for “The prudent thing to do”....no I wouldn’t, if i had just failed a drug test, and I thought it was from the hay, i would have isolated the hay and had it tested to the prove my innocence/where the source come from....thought that would be pretty logical.

    Any updates from trainers on here how the AWT is going now it’s been in use for a couple months?

    I’m not a fan of AWT racing, but the way the nz tracks are playing at the moment, at least the AWT may provide a more even playing field. Take Riccarton on Sat and Trentham the other week, its a joke our so called premier tracks are presented like that. No NW winds or excess rain at riccarton leading up to last Sat so why was the track so off on the inside? Sprinklers left on maybe??
