To be fair Ranga, The Brodster doesnt need to be involved in a group that punts large amounts on GALLOPERS! Surefire way to be a losing punter!

JJ, you being in the know, who is currently in charge of running the stable? Unfortunately the sport is struggling on other sides already, so that is just another issue.

In the christchurch area Nigel Armstrong the Westview man, also makes it affordable with his syndication. Andrew Fitzgerald also of Chch with Off N Go Racing is also getting plenty oF people into horses also for a very small amount. This is fantastic and gives all involved many thrills. If anyone is interested both of them could fit you into a horse and enjoyment. We also need others in with a bit of money to own and race horses or things are going to go south. The costs do need to come down or stake money needs to increase quite a bit to attract newbies.

Unfortunately no money in owning, training or driving nowadays. Costs are far too high for most people to own a gorse on their own for the return. Most trainers are not very financial and the opportunity for young trainers to make it worthwhile is very limited! This is one reason why there has been several trainers caught doing illegal things. Absolutely very little chance of young ones working for a stable to make enough money driving harness horses for a living, unless your parents train a big team! Harness racing is at the cross roads at the moment unfortunately. Punters need to be retained rather than being turned away by the NZ TAB!!!

The funniest things I heard on the radio today for a long time came from our expert Michael Baker! You could bot make this up lol. He stated that there was no evidence of the virus being contracted when outdoors and therefore didnt think it was necessary for us to be wearing masks outside, and yet our medical expert Ardern is telling us to wear them outside to stop the spread lol! Ne also stated that he had no evidence of the virus being caught off hard surfaces and questioned the need to be locking business down to clean it! Lol You couldnt make this up! You are listening to a bunch of loonies!!!!

Auckland harness racing is stuffed. Can not see any way out of it for them, and yet they are still getting big funding for good stake money? There are buggerall trainers in the North and reducing! Junior drivers are pretty non existent and dwindling! The continued losses can not continue and needs radical change to make it worth racing still! Very sad indeed but it appears like the end of harness racing in the North is going to happen.

I agree Davis on what u say and I was not saying that they were using anything illegal. My point is just the improvement many of Our horses show in Oz. Also the fact they are racing over a mile also helps a lot of average horses.

Curious, there have been many psychiatrists and mental health specialists that have come out and stated the suicide no.s have increased significantly since last hear lockdowns. You would have to be a very poor mental health expert if you have not heard about the increased suicides. I have seen it on NZ TV, Ozzie TV and heard callers on NZ talkback! No one has died from Delta virus in NZ as it is a weak virus and the effects of it are grossly overplayed! The lockdown and peoples rights are having a far greater toll on death rstes than this virus will ever have. Suicides due to Arderns actions is huge, you only have to speak to the people involved in MH,

Which ones died? I can not give you a breakdown of the suicides but I do know it is huge and across the board. We are being ruled by a control freak out of her depth! What expertise does Ardern have in the health sector ? It is all about look at ME, up here on the podium blah blah blah.
