  1. Of course I never tell porkies Harewood! Never have and don’t feel I have a need to! What porky do you feelI have told? That is right, none. Connection is quite apparent Harewood.
  2. Globe, because you know, please explain to us less up with the play, the improved methods, after many years of training previously? No need to get so defensive Globe, I haven’t questioned anything that would upset you have I Globe?
  3. Clearly something has changed at Michael Hojses stables over the past coup,e of seasons for his UDR and horses to be so much improved. There is a somewhat connection between that stable and the AllStars Stable, and I would be surprised if some of his horses are not having the treatment, and as we all know it is not performance enhancing I have told!!! Can someone categorically state that they are not using the Blood Spinning system?
  4. Think it will be a good thing having Michael House sending up horses that have met their mark in the South Island to “The ReidMan”. Will be interesting to see how they go? Probably go pretty well as we all know that the S.I. horses do go better than the N.I. For some reason. What is surprising is just how much improvement their has been in Michael House’s UDR and no. Of wins over the last couple of seasons. Ne certainly has helped out Palmerston North Racing, otherwise without his horses racing there probably wouldn’t have been as many meetings. I would be almost certain that the stable is now having their horses treated by the Blood Doping sorry I meant Blood Spinning, as they must have a lot of unsound horses as well, and it has no performance enhancing properties to it!! Who is the first to have a crack at “The Brodster”
  5. Na, never been to Birdsville. We are heading away to Europe though, but it won’t be on the NZ TAB!
  6. Punters that back horses that are so short are never going to make money. You can not back enough winners to make money when they are so short. That is what pisses the restricted punters off so much, the TAB will let some on for thousands and yet others can only get $50 on!!!!!
  7. Geez, watched a few miles at Alexandra Park tonight and talk about boring racing!! Why on earth are they programming miles if they want to get people into racing?. If you aren’t in the first few turning for home, just forget it!
  8. All miles are shite and worse at Addington
  9. Mark MacNamara, has done a fantastic job around Canterbury for the last 10 years and will be sorely missed with his commentary and humour. All the best to him back in convict land, however I am sure Matt Cross will do an excellent job.
  10. Probably is Ranga, more time for family and travel. However, if the bigger wagering punters also spit the dummy, it is going to affect TAB turnover. Good luck to all punters tonight, I hope you take The Bookies for heaps.
  11. Jonny, you may well be right, however I can afford not to have to punt, whereas the NZ TAB can certainly not afford to have punters not punting with them.
  12. Hunter, I am not investing at the moment! Can not be bothered with the NZ TAB BS in regards to having to identify yourself for collecting $1k. Just not worth the effort until the TAB applies the rules in terms of the AML Act.
  13. Couldn’t have it even if it started now lol
  14. Roman, change the damn rule! She is not using the whip hard at all! The no. Of hits is totally irrelevant as to how much a horse is feeling the whip. Sam Thornley got busy with the whip and got done on Copperhead Rose due to the no. Of strikes! Jamie Keast hits the same horse a helluva lot harder than Sam Thornley did and that is ok under the stupid rule.
  15. Where do I start Happy? Coming down on 2 Junior drivers who haven’t been driving for even a month is hardly doing the industry any good, when we are very short on young people coming into the harness racing game. We have a dwindling no. of horses being bred! We have a dwindling no. Of owners . We have less money being distributed around owners. We have punters being heavily restricted by the NZ TAB from wagering. We have a blatantly stupid whip rule. We have a domination of the stakes races by one stable therefore reduced field sizes and therefore horses being sold overseas! We have a dumb system where there is no enquiry when a horse gets checked! We have a system where the easy kill get hammered over others. We have operation inca which is so long winded that is costing the charged hundreds of thousands in legal costs! etc. etc.
  16. I see the JCA at Oamaru on Sunday relieved Alana Cameron Of $150 for using the whip in excess of the permitted no. Of 10!!! She was driving the old plugger Paul’s Verdict who isn’t exactly known for his sprinting prowess, and he was a few back on the outer until running home fairly thru the urgings Of Alana, who has only just begun her driving career this year. She is not an overly large person and was hardly whacking the horse with all of her might, more just friendly persuasion. Just doesn’t make any sense whatsoever in hammering our newest Juniors with fines and license cancellations, hardly encouraging them to perform at their best!! There are far worse things going on in harness than Juniors trying their best to forge a career in harness racing! Racing Integrity? Yeah right!,,
  17. The reality is that the ones that are getting charged are normally winning the race, they aren’t finishing out of the places! The whip is clearly giving the driver an advantage so reinstate the old rule and make it fair!
  18. Yeah/Nah
  19. Good to see Cran back training winners as he has been pretty quiet. Part of the reason 5 wins is due to M Anderson driving
  20. Matt Anderson has always shown real promise as a driver, but this season he has gone to another level. Yes he has been driving Mitch Kerr’s horse but also others. 16 drives for 9 wins and a 3rd and a UDR Of 5833! Yes he has charges hanging over his head, however the harness industry can ill afford to lose young fellahs of his ability!
  21. Sam Thornley lost his junior drivers license and sent back to the trials after his first drive! Ian Cameron gets fined $300. Both drivers won with their horses and both horses retained their first placing! Probably Ian Cameron’s first charge for using the whip in excess of the permitted amount! I appreciate that Sam Thornley’s was worse but on both occasions both drivers got excited with the prospect of their horses winning. The inexperienced driver gets hammered whereas the very experienced horseman gets away with not a helluva lot.
  22. Only with oil and smoke, Ranga!
  23. TAke the sleepers, you may not have to prove that you are not laundering money if you want sleepers!
  24. Na, not investing at the moment! I am sulking and not currently prepared to play by the NZ TABs BS, in regards to having to prove that I am not a money launderer!
  25. Noble Mistress I believe is trained at Rangiora and not Woodend Beach
