The $ Tracker on the new TAB web site is interesting to look at! Does anyone actually know how it actually works? It is obviously being used solely for Fixed Odds, but there seems to be very little correlation to the amount of money being wagered with the market changes? So often it shows very little no. Of bets and amount being wagered on a horse and yet the odds are slashed? It is very difficult to fathom what is going on as the figures just do not tie up with the changes or lack of changes!

Bruce Negus is great for harness. He supports racing big time, in amateur races as well as all the others. He also massively supports female drivers by giving them plenty of opportunities! We need plenty more of Bruce Negus’s!

When Robert Anderson had it, it didnt seem to have much confidence and just appeared to be a battling maiden! The last few starts that Bruce Negus has had it, it is upright and stronger looking and its last few runs have been super tough. Would be interesting to find out what Bruce puts the dramatic improvement down to, as it has been huge?

Bruce Negus has been training Dancing Glenis for about six starts now! The horse was trained by Robert Anderson for its first 32 starts without a win. She showed a modicum of ability but was always giving the others a start as it was kept on the unruly. Was struggling with form and was transferred to Bruce Negus stable. It had a couple of average run down south and then how it turned a corner. It won down south then won next up at Addington like a good horse. Then it paced the whole race for a Junior driver and tonight it went a great race for third after working hard the first lap. Dancing Glenis would have to be the most improved horse in Canterbury over the past month or so? Bruce Negus has worked the oracle with Dancing Glenis!

Who on earth is Google Gav? NZ TAB has a gambling monopoly in NZ!

The NZ TAB has got a monopoly in NZ! There is no other competing gambling agency in NZ for racing and sport! According to Mr Google, TAB NZ is a statutory monopoly for NZ sports betting, including betting on horse racing and greyhound racing! So it is factually correct JJ!

TAB, I do not rely on winning on harness racing from the TAB Bookies!! If I didnt ever have another bet it would not be the end of the world for Brodie! As I say I do not need the money but I wouldnt be bothered punting to win low amounts, as I have other things I can do! No the TAB is not a charity, good pick up! They are a gambling agency with a monopoly in NZ and therefore they should be taking the good with the bad and their business policy is seriously flawed as I have stared many times! Entain has come on board with a 25 year controlling interest in the NZ by stating that they were chucking millions into the stakes for 5 years, guaranteeing current TAB employees for 2 years! We now know that they have broken that guarantee already and laid off heaps of employees and now operate mainly out of Australia. They have introduced several things that appear to have logic to it but then they now make the decisions for 25 years. At the end of the day we will all find out whether selling out to Entain was the right thing to do? The point is that I can not think of any other business in NZ that is currently getting away with treating customers that want to spend large amounts of money with them, that are being penalised by not being able to spend the money!!!!!

so, you reckon I ring the TAB and ask them to drop my restrictions?😂 Yeah that will work, they kept reducing limit until not worth betting online. And yes many years ago it was put to them and computer say NO! All I have ever asked is fairness and equality but that doesnt seem to be something that the TAB want to entertain!

BETCHA that they will not be doing the restricted punters any favours! Going to be interesting to see what it actually is! I can advise them how to increase the TAB turnover though!

At the end of the day it is great that we have two forums that we can post on unless we have been banned from either one. The first one that was started, i was banned from because I didnt lick arse, and posted stuff that wasnt in agreeance with the moderator and a couple of his his lickers, However, the fact that he banned me and others I personally take as a compliment because the more intelligent and indeed better punters are now loyal Bit Of A Yarn posters. The fact remains that BOAY is indeed the better site for racing issues rather than the love fest that tends to happen on the other one. Chief runs a very fair site in my opinion and allows us to say what we think. Yes he is passionate about things and if he doesnt agree with you then he will dig his toes in lol. I think it is great that we have different views on things and that is what forums are totally about and that is what BOAY is about and is why it is the Premier Racing site rather than the other one which on the whole is pretty flimsy! Some may like flimsy and that is why they post on the other one. Great to hear from The Galah, and also Walt, who are both intelligent posters and in my mind would love to have them back on contributing! Hope things are improving Walt? We do not have to agree with each other but everyone must admit that “The Brodster” is “always on the money” Love these Sunday meetings! Brad Steele, no mile racing, keep horses need to for qualify, and ask the punters how to increase turnover or you will have no success as a CEO at HRNZ!!!!!!!

We are spoilt on a Sunday, cos they do not use it! Clownsville when they use it!

If we post unlucky runners each week the TAB will open them too short Newmarket, and everyone will be on 😂 To be fair, the Sunday meetings are far better for the punters! We need them every week, far better than the Friday night with Auckland

Of course there is more to worry about, Blackie. Forums are to discuss things, and put points of views across. Just because something is introduced doesnt mean it is for the better! Look what the citizens of NZ were subjected to for 6 years, does thst nesn we dhould have just accepted the mismanagement and lies? I say that we all need to speak up more and not accept everything that is dished up to us, that is why we are in the crap, Blackie.

I am even more worried now! Great that Brad Steele is thinking about how to improve things and having more horses to race, but seriously? He is thinking about horses not having to qualify?? So we have horses lining up that the punter hasnt seen at the trials? Is he serious? So we just line up something that can not run qualifying time , just for a run so that it can get better? It will get better with time so lets put it in a race and punters are expected to punt into the race that has a horse that can not run a qualifying time ? NO!! Would like to know who this trainer is that was going to scale down his numbers and now due to the recent announcements he is going to fill the stable up? 😂 Actually the end of the day, if it works then that is great for the industry, but wouldnt be holding your breath. TAB/Entain, increase your turnover instead of saying you want to! Let the punters on and for what they want, very simple really!

Lol Already this Brad Steele is a worry if he is wanting more miles! I believe that really harness racing is at the crossroads, and I do fear that there does not seem to be too much intelligence from those making decisions! There are some really dumb decisions being made and at the end if the day if it continues then Harness racing is gone burger as the punters will just walk! They need to be encouraging wagering and seriously mile race is just not enticing for punters. At the end the day, it doesn’t matter what I say whether harness racing survives, it is what HRNZ and the TAB/ Entain does! Personally I have very little confidence in them being able to make sensible decisions, going on their current form.

Why dont they do it in the straight and at the winning post? Personally hate every bit of it and can not see any benefit at all? So because Brodie doesn’t like it, they will do it more often! They should do it for the NRL the whole game, and Rugby Games, Brilliant!

So why do they only show it for a short time? Why dont they use it more if it is so good? Personally can not see a single reason for using it, and when they show it at the start, mobiles and stands??

So why dont they show the whole race with the Drone? Absolutely hate it. To show a standing start from the drone is crap!

Come on Trackside, get rid of the drone at Addington! it is horrendous and the way you used it in the first race at Addington tonight is ridiculous! Up you game, absolutely shocker, we want to see the race, not something from the moon!!

Watch Coronation Street? Personally think that the TAB would have more turnover with Thursday snd Friday meetings rather than Auckland and Addington competing for the $. Auckland is going to struggle as punters much prefer Addington!

The thing is though, how many horse punters are money launderers? The casino doesnt give a rats as long as the gambler is losing, but if they win then they will try and shut them down! The NZ TAB doe not play fair at all, shutting down any punter that tends to consistently win. The NZ TAB also does not abide by the NZ Law for AML ACT, they have a $1K limit whereas the ACT says $5k or $6k. It us not about Anti Money Laundering with them it is about having total control of all punters. Sky City Casino will be operating under the NZ Law for the AML unlike the NZ TAB! It will be costly for Sky City having to close but at the end of the day they will continue to make good profit and deserve to get punished if they hsve not been opersting correctly under their license.

Entain and HRNZ are saying that punters want consistency with when the Clubs race, so that is why they are are having Cambridge on the Tuesday and Auckland and Addington on the Friday night! As a punter, I say Bollacks! This does not suit punters at all, quite the opposite. Having the same horses race week in and week out at the same course in my opinion just causes punters to get the stitch and can not be bothered offloading. Having variety is what we need not the same old same old, and short odds every week!

I would not be putting money into something that is self funding as per the Slot Races! What HRNZ is doing is throwing away money into the Slot Races when the races would have occurred without HRNZ chucking big money into them. To be fair I do not think that too many of the salaried employees currently employed actually are that knowledgeable with financial things! Too many very poor decisions is what has caused the issues that we currently have!
