TAB For Ever, do you think that the Tab/ Entain should be donating money to BGP when they are restricting other punters to be only win $20 on some bets???? TAB, do you believe that ethically they should be allowed to treat punters not equally?

Anyone get their losses refunded today?

Chief, there are clearly many things that Brodie doesnt understand nowadays! People bought into the BGP betting fund that was promoted on the TAB web site!! There was a loss of 25k on the night but the gambling business run by the TAB said hey, you lost money so we will give the money lost back to everyone! It is just blatant BS when all other punters who wager that are not in the BGP syndicate do not get any losses refunded!!! The decision to do this is just another unethical decision made by the TAB/Entain and as far as Brodie is concerned they can go get one in them! I am over this very dishonest business, and it is not the first time that some have been reimbursed for a losing bet and others who had the same bet were not! I do not need this crap so not going to bother again, which wont bother them, but hope they get their just deserts!!! those that think that Entain is this great outfit will change their mind when they lose their jobs! This Shannon bloke is missing in action!

Spatchcock, you for one should know that this is for publicity for Entain/TAB and is it good publicity? Hardly! You also know that how the TAB treats restricted punters is also ethically wrong! Also if the TAB/ Entain started treating loyal punters equally then I would not need to keep reminding them of how wrong their policy of massive restrictions is! When TAB allow BGP to wager unlimited amounts and yet limit other punters to $20 win on a bet it is abhorent!

Agree to disagree! Going that time in front had DSD a sitting duck. Great runs by both, with no horse being able to make any moves, is it a great race though??

For the TAB/Entain to refund BGP anything is absolute BS! this is not the first time that the TAB has refunded certain punters and not others and they have very poor ethics at times that they choose! As Galah states you can see who the TAB appreciates as punters and it isnt the punters who have been with them for decades! This is just another example of how they show favouritism to some over other punters! The TAB hierarchy have come out saying how great Entain is flr NZ racing, well lets just see if these same people say how great they are when they lose their jobs! Would be good to hear someone from Entain come out and justify why they are prepared to donate tens of thousands to BGP on one hand, and yet restrict other punters to be able to win $20 that’s right $20 on a bet??????????

Surely the TAB arent going to refund the BGP the amount they have lost?????? Think they must be having us on???? If it is true then this is just another reason why the TAB are not HONEST! They havent treated certain punters fairly for a long time! If Boys Get Paid have got any credibility and they have been refunded the amount they lost, they would donate the whole lot to a worthwhile CHARITY! If the TAB/ Entain have refunded the amount lost to BGP then Entain can not be trusted and I hope you get an absolute hiding from the punters! This is a very sad day for all punters if it is true and Entain you are an absolute disgrace with your actions towards other punters that are not BGP!!!!!!!!!

To be fair Merlin had a great run, if the roles were reversed I would say Dont Stop Dreaming wouldve won! Thing is if you arent handy turning for home at Cambridge in those tighter class races then you aint winning! Great that Cambridge is holding the event for the big boys, and harness needs big promotion, so if it actually brings new people into harness racing then that is what we need! Maybe if these corporates and bigger owners have money to throw around, then why dont they do it more often for smaller amounts, during the rest of the season! Have the meetings at Addington though, far better track for racing and much fairer!

Personally think it is a terrible race to be betting into! Just about any of the horses can win on the night if they get the run! I think the trotters is actually going to be a better race to watch. Going to be interesting to see how much they turnover on the night!

Yes great to see that BGP are allowed on for what they want! Why does the TAB allow BGP to wager what they want on and yet other punters are restricted to measly amounts? Preferential treatment being applied to some and yet victimisation to others! Come on Entain, see the error of your ways and treat all punters equally, if you want to keep harness racing financially viable! ,

With respect TAB, yes it is early with the changes, but can you in your wisdom advise what is the reasoning for Entain/Tab to now not be showing PLACE ODDS, fixed or tote??????? How on earth is that an improvement, and they show the win divs fixed and tote alongside each other, with no idea how much is in the tote pool?? That to me is just a total xxxx up! Yes it is damn frustrating to be treated different to other punters and it is just a gutless way of treating restricted punters! Havent got a major problem with some sort of restriction but the amounts that they subject us to is pathetically low!!! Not sure of a tag partner in Walt, but Brodie speaks his mind and not accepting everything that is wrong. I am on the money and speak the truth with fairness and reason! Most thinking people will normally agree with Brodie and Walt is a thinking man that speaks his mind and I respect that!

I dont bet into those type of races Galah! Think the difference today between the two was probably the drivers ! All you can do is win so kudos to Mounga today, but on todays performances Audacity is every bit as good as Mounga apart from the manners!

He actually began but then put in an odd stride and broke. if he didnt gallop he woulve been in front or trailed ! From there he would not have been beaten, going by the amount of ground he made up! we can agree to disagree, thats all good, but he is inexperienced and he is very smart!

I think if you actually had another look at the posts from the Darkside, you will see that many do not like the changes! Do not worry, they will never admit it but they have introduced several changes without any benefit! many on the Darkside are not punters, so the divs dont worry them!

In all reality if Audacity didnt run in and break like he did just after the start, Mounga would not have won! Audacity is a very serious racehorse and the way he went after his gallop was phenomenal! He wouldve bolted in!

I always remember the win and place tote pools to be roughly the same in each pool, even recently. Anyway Brodie has said his piece as to what he thinks of the new graphics, and we are all entitled to our opinion! If you are happy with it and the NZ TAB and Entain believe that it will encourage new punters and increase turnover and profit then it has to be good? I still believe that it is a shocker not representing Place options and it is going to show up in a decrease in turnover for racing turnover.

Mikey, I have noticed it as well looking at the tote pools. The win and place pools prior to the changes were normally about the same size! However there is now a major shortfall on the place tote pool since the stupid changes! Who would’ve thought??????? Clueless decision making or have they deliberately done this????

Firstly I dont know what Harness forum you are talking about that has posters happy with the changes? Is that the site that has many of the posters that do not bet on harness, but get so excited anyway?? Secondly, why on earth is it trial and error? Whatever they put up should surely be an improvement to what existed, and I can not see one thing that has been improved to what we had! Surely you can appreciate that what they have now with only the WIN odds is not going to encourage extra wagering????? You say MOANERS, what I would say is that BOAY posters have more participants that want the harness industry to survive and are not just around to accept mediocrity and just go with BS! At the end of the day, let us see how it works out, Brodie is staring here and now that what has been changed this week is to the detriment of racing! Turnover will drop, but then again maybe that is what they are looking for?

Had noticed that as well but they are all over the place with these changes for non better! The commentators and presenters are having trouble as well, they used to quote horses fixed place odds suggesting they would be worth a go at those odds! They havent been able mention to this in the past few days! It all seems rather flat and a turnoff for many. Is it to cut costs or just done to piss punters off?

Walt, they arent going to be doing that as they are needing to show us the people walking the cogs around to the starting boxes. Isnt that more exciting and necessary?

Change is always difficult to handle when the change is for the worse!! It is a moronic change to get rid of the place odds displayed as well as other things! Can you advise us what is the reasoning for this and what has been improved?
