Galah, we need private landlords now more than ever, as the governments should not be involved in housing! They have always been the worst landlords due to many factors! Tenants that have issues are nit going to be taken on by landlord’s as it is impossible to get rid of them! The Labour policies are just another way of trying to bring the more successful people down which is a commie plan, we just csn not have successful people going out and becoming wealthier.

What the blatantly stupid unfair policies that Labour have bought into to disadvantage landlords is backfiring on them big time!!! The tenants are going to find that their rents are going to be increased significantly to a point where they are going to struggle to pay it! Landlords that have been under renting their properties are going to have to put the rents up massively to try and recover part of the increased costs they are having to meet. Tubby Robertson just has no idea of financial matters whatsoever and is a PLONKER, stating that interest paid on a rental shouldnt be tax deductible as it is a tax loophole!! So if the interest shouldnt be claimed as a taxable deduction how come all other expenses like rates etc. can be claimed? There wouldnt be one accountant in Australasia that thinks that interest paid on a rental property shouldnt be claimed as a legitimate business expense!!! National/Act will overturn that and the Brightline 10 year capital Gain BS as well as so many other ill thought out policies! This bunch of totally unqualified bunch of losers should never ever have control of NEW ZEALAND ever again!

There is reverse racism in NEW ZEALAND, it is not the Maori word that starts and finishes with A! Everyone needs to send a message to government this year by voting the current bunch of racists out big time in October!! Yes you are totally correct Newmarket! Very few standing starts and just a total lottery as to what we get. Some of the standing starts around the South Island have the unruly horses off the front back about 30 metres behind!!!!

Do not know Jason Teaz personally, only thru Trackside commentating. I do know he did a great job commentating at Forbury which would’ve been very difficult for him seem he lived in the North Island! Not sure why he no longer gets to commentate but it does appear he got shafted! He is a passionate enthusiast and I can tell he is very frustrated just like many others with many poor decisions being made to the detriment of harness racing! As for the comments maybe they could be classed as not that professional but who on earth really gets offended by being called a wanker or something close to that? I personally wouldnt be offended, in fact take it as a bit of a compliment. Since the Covid BS I have realised just how easily led and accepting people are and what we actually need is more people speaking out and voicing their opinions. The Big Lebowski has grown many legs in the last few months! Yes he was vey unlucky tonight and went every bit as good as any of them which totally surprised me. As I say who wouldve thought he would be competitive in the Auckland Cup a month ago??

Who wouldve ever thought that The Big Lebowski would ever be racing, Self Assured, Copy That and Akuta lol ? The Big Lebowski who comes from Southland and was a tough but not overly talented down south horse is tomorrow night racing against the best horses in The country in the Auckland cup! it is now trained by Ray Green who won with it at its only start in Auckland a d had won well previous 2 starts down south but was beating average horses! Could this be a rags to riches story??

Just fast forwarded thru The Box Seat! Michael Guerin is all for this Entain deal, but said that half the comments at McAnulty’s presentation from the public was negative, and everyone should be seeing this as a big positive for harness racing! I am sure it will be to start with for a few years as far as stake money goes. Is it going to be enough to attract new owners to the industry as the older existing owners go to a pasture? I dont believe for one moment that Entain is here to help out harness racing in NZ! They have got their hands on the betting monopoly in NZ and Sports is what they want and they wont give a rats if harness in NZ is destroyed! Yes Michael Guerin, total negativity at its highest, but reality! Let us just see if they allow NZ punters to wager the amounts they wish to seem they are this massive corporate betting monstrosity that has come in and impressed McAnulty and co.!!!! When I was restricted by the NZ TAB, I was told to open up accounts in Oz! Bit of a rigmarole to do this, but did open a few, Sportsbet, Ladbrokes Australia and Centrebet. Ladbrokes Oz let me wager for a couple of months and then stopped taking my bets. Centrebet and Sportsbet werent quite as bad, eventually restrictions so it wasnt worth the time and effort! They are pretty gutless these Bookies, and are just not prepared to let anyone with ability BEAT THEM!!!!!!

I do hope you are right Robalan! This Entain outfit are not in it to help NZ Racing! They are pretty ruthless from what I have read, however I will wait and see! So you reckon that they will let punters on for what they want? Hole they do, but wont be holding my breath as Entain owns Ladbrokes Australia and they shut me down! I believe that harness racing will be ok for a few years if they get bigger payouts from the TAB but ultimately it will eventually fold as Entain dont want harness racing as the money for them is SPORTS BETTING and now they will control this! To be fair it is the NZ TAB fault that it has come to this due to some shocking policy decisions being made unfortunately!

Entain will want losing punters. You are correct tve facial recognition is so that they can eliminate winning punters. When has a betting agency ever stopped losing punters? Every punter should be treated equally and restrictions need to be removed Why should people who have the ability be restricted to pathetic betting amounts and be treated as a criminal? Yes they may be throwing a lot of cash around but it is in the best interests of only one party.

The NZ TAB has gone backwards over the decades due to very poor decision making!! Signing up to a partnership with ENTAIN for 25 years seems a massive gamble due to the length of term! Entain will only be interested in their own pockets and nothing else and can see it backfiring on the racing industry big time! Hopefully I am wrong but I doubt it! HARM MINIMALIZATION what a load of BS! When have they stopped losing punters from losing money???? I personally do not need this HARM MINIMALIZATION, quite the opposite! This TAB outfit restricts me from wagering on their races when I am not doing any harm to myself or financial situation? Watched a few harness races tonight on Trackside! What I noticed was that the Ozzie driver’s certainly have no qualms in using the whip with gay abandon! They clearly are not being dictated to by Harness Australia Officialdom! HRNZ panicked when Australia Harness announced that they were going to be banning the whip and HRNZ then brought in a whip rule that was just so blatantly stupid that you couldnt use the whip any more than 10 times in the last 400metres or something like that! This crazy rule was thrown out after a while and replaced with another unnecessary rule that catches out drivers still so it is still a poor rule that needs overturning! HRNZ and its CEO at the time, wont mention his name, But initials are E.R. Brought in the crazy rule without any agreement with the horsemans association! Animal Rights organisations had no problem with the harness rules at the time so why did they need to change the rule that was working just fine???? High time HRNZ admit that they stuffed up and go back to what it was, as the Ozzies have given the BIRD to Harness Australia in regards to whip limitations after watching the racing over there tonight!

Lol yeah I was trying to think what it was, knew it wasnt Springer thats why I had the question mark lol Actually had several good collects off Jerry Garcia! Yeah saw Jerry Springer moved on recently, was a great show if you wanted a laugh Gamma. Strietross had a lot of speed, my point is that Take After Me doesnt have that raw speed at either gait really, just a great trier who the trainers persevered with, where many wouldve retired due to its age. You only need to look at Take After Me trotting, his legs are going twice as quick as the others but only doing the same speed!

Alexy had a helluva lot of starts and wins but they were all pacing as he was bred to do! Take After Me has won 14 at a gait that he wasnt bred to be able to do, after winning several times at pacing. Jerry Springer? that Leo O’reilly trained was also very successful at both pacing and then converted to trotting for many wins! Jerry Springer ? i believe had far more speed and ability but Take After Me has just been persevered with and wins on guts and determination!

Take after Me started life as a pacer and won a few races probably 4 or 5! Was a good effort for a pacer that was reasonably average at that gait. The trainers, the Scotts then launched Take After Me on a trotting career which would be very rare for a Holmes Hanover? Take After Me today is now an aged 12 year old Holmes Hanover trotter and has had near on 200 starts over several seasons as a trotter and won its 14th race at this gait! Hasnt got great high speed but just seems to try his heart out and hasnt given up the will to win, even though he has had heaps of starts at both gaits! The horse foes out of form from time to time and then all of a sudden he is back in form and winning in a class that suits him. Kudos must go to the Scotts for continuing to get the best out of a horse totally bred to trot and for keeping the horse able to continue to win over a career spanning approx. 10 years.

Majority of the wins were at Palmy where you dont have to be that flash to win! Useful horse and not an overly strong field in hindsight last night but normally young Wilson House wouldve pulled back from the outside of the gate!

The question needs to be asked why arent the public advised of change of driving tactics like they do in Oz? Wilson House is normally one of the most conservative drivers around especially at Addington and yet he changed tactics with Superstar Legend last night! The horse has battled to win at Addington and yes it was a total form reversal from a much raced horse. The punters obviously didnt think it could win last night by the fixed odds and tote divs! Superstar Legend was offered in the Gavel House auction a few weeks ago so the owners obviously werent that confident of the horse paying its way!

Carter is as good as any Junior we have had, his UDR shows this! However to win a premiership he would need to be picking up alot more outside drives, he is pretty under utilised at the moment. Sarah O’reilly who we all know is a top driver has had over 4 times the number of drives this season, do she chases them harder than Carter. I am picking there is a pretty good chance of Carter having a crack in the United States in the next few years alongside Dexter!
