Tony and can't remember his wife's name, lovely couple at Browns bay tab..long gone, I used to write out my slip and hand over the money when I was 14/15 no questions asked, good old days when just the radio to listen to races in the tab and the the Teletext for the odds. Now there is only a pub tab in a huge place like browns bay...it's a big drive for me now if I want to find an Agency to make a decent withdrawal!

I had it in a place all up, I was praying it would keep going....I actually like the horse, it has gone well and even won at big odds in some ok races in his Time, if he draws in the first 3 one day in one of these races he keeps going if he leads ...at one pace...He has another win in him!

No Jess it happens alot as you say, not sure if they still do it in American thoroughbred racing but they used to couple up stable runners for betting purposes on the tote no matter if one was odds on and the other was 40-1 and I'm sure you weren't allowed more than 2 from one stable in a race. That was the one annoying thing I found in the top English races, a big stable like Godolphin were allowed to run a pacemaker so their top horse got the tempo it needed.

Yes it is total over kill, I think the nzrb has a deal with Tabcorp that for them to show our 1 greyhound programme or if they are very lucky a heavy track nz gallops meeting every day, we have to import all their crap for our mug punters to bet on!! Hardly worth it!

I must admit watching Blair orange he seems to try hard, I would have to say Dex doesn't put them into a race like he used to, I put that down to been there done that going through the motions.

Just a thought, but that driver's challenge that got debated where Dex was $1.06 and orange won it at $7s sticks out like dolly Parton.... really hope it's all a mistake.

Strange, mcwicked didn't look in the same league in Lazarus's first race.

Problem is they will control the lot, and we will end up in 20 years with 2 purpose built a.w tracks, one North island, one South island, greyhounds inside, trots Middle, Gallops on the outside course, they can then feed the Australian market everyday from 10am aus time (midday our time) to get every Penny out of the addict Aussie gambler, Wall to Wall racing ....and what great names will they call these new tracks? Mmm Tabcorp Park! ...Just a theory, but on reflection I would prefer us to have control ...so I can enjoy my fush and chups!!!
