    Tracks are manicured too fast for the horses? don't see many of the the regular tough old grass track horses going amiss...The all stars barn seems to have a very high attrition rate these past few seasons only Lazarus has stayed sound. ...but doesn't matter now not ours anymore??

    We don't seem to have much 2mile racing anymore, I remember all the small clubs cups in the 80s were 3200m but can't think of many now. for me personally mile racing was a nice novelty once in a while, pan am mile, miracle mile etc, but I would give up betting on or watching harness racing if nz went down the Menangle or u.s road.
