  3. I think she's one to follow, but, not in a Juniors race.
  4. See it ended up at $7ff,
  5. I'm certainly not trying to discredit what you have said Ashoka, and I wish you all the best. Regards Des
  6. Ashoka. Who on here knows that it's your real name? I for one thought it may have been a past favourite horse name or a play on the term a-shocker. I think you will find a lot of people in the comp section display their real name alongside their Nom de plume, but if people choose not to its their right. It is however very sad that someone has lowered themselves to abuse you, but don't let one rotten Apple taint your view on the rest of us. I would say 99.9,%, of people on here a pretty decent folk. All the best Des
  7. Great mare Robert, 40 odd wins here and Australia, remember her winning off 90m handicap at manawatu, probably the least talked about of our great horses
  8. You have seen the light, your on the straight and narrow now....I suppose the end came when you noticed you spent all that money on an upgrade and all you got was something akin to a comic strip!
  9. Must be bad on r.c now Scooby if you've joined the premier site! Did you turn the lights out?
  10. Nice one Gavin some great memories, seems like yesterday.
  11. That wasn't a bad field, pretty sure slugger went to open class, Cal Brydon, Jenner, Thriller Dee and old stormy morn always made for great open class trots in the North in the 80s
  12. All the big races in the 80s were covered by tv 1 I used to be very excited at thought of staying up to watch them live I think you'll find hands down spent the majority of his racing life coming from a back Mark and 3 wide for the last lap!
  13. I see where your coming from Harewood, I'm not going on times as tracks are 10 times as fast now, but excitement and Pure crowd pleasing? I can't deny Lazarus is a champion horse but I couldn't name a champion horse he beat, well not one I personally would call an all time great either here or Australia. The crowds that used to flock to see hands down and delightful Lady(can't believe I left her out) I doubt we will see again.
  14. I remember backing Logan dryham in that Derby, yes pretty sure your right, the race would be called off nowadays!
  15. Hands down, Bonnie's chance, armalight, Christian Cullen. Lord module. No room for Lazarus in my top picks due to lack of serious competition in nz. The others were racing against other champions in every big race.
  16. You are a wise man kakama
  17. I will have to go weststar Sam in the last @$7 you know it's a poor field when old alexy is @ $6!
  18. Far Too Popplewell?
  19. And we wouldn't get as good a price as we got for his two wins earlier in the season?
  20. Raphoe might get a run this year!
  21. Class filly, I'm sure Peter will place her to perfection.
  22. I have put a hoodoo on the first 2 for you Richie, good luck with the last 3!
  23. Nice one mardy, My 2 for the day are not paying much are r3 boomer bailey his ss manners should have him in front at some point even from 35m R5 pyramid magic, hopefully now he's found form he may keep it!
  24. Surely he can't be that stupid?
  25. That's what was missing tonight, mardys tips!
