    Good coin for a young fella!! I remember putting my $1ew on course at Alex park by myself when I was 11/12 yrs old and at my local tab in Brown's Bay at the same age while my dad was still filling his out on a Saturday, I would take my slips up and hear that lovely sound of the long ticket being printed out. How times have changed, in this nanny state we live in nowadays I'm sure I would have been put into care by now!!

    Great subject Gavin, For me, trotters scotch tar, stormy morn, and champion pacers delightful lady and hands down. Those were the days when sectional times weren't rammed down our throats, tracks weren't cambered and manicured for speed and no passing lane...fantastic

    Couldn't agree more crosscodes, you could see his last season in nz he was saying enough, and the poor bugger has to get used to a different hemisphere and new surroundings twice now in America, shame on those greedy people.

    Pretty despicable hesi that he can do this sort of thing, just goes to show people are dreaming on r.c if they think he's not delving into their private mail etc, even the really thick ones on there must surely see that. I wonder which comp member will win the Fiji trip, probably another old posting name that has been lying dormant for the last decade!

    thanks hesi, I'm pretty convinced that's what happened to a fair few of us who all of a sudden lost our mail boxes, I'm sure "paranoia" set in at the 'non premiere' site when 80% of the regular posters he controlled and tormented gave him the bird and came to the site of milk and honey!!

    I did p.m booby before hunter under flagship, just as this site was getting under way, telling her to come over to boay, next thing my p.m mail box had disappeared then I was completely banned....I think my mail was intercepted and read by you know who!! I enjoyed reading booby's posts also.

    I would have a bit of that happy...I got lambasted by that first class w..ker ftm for picking it to win the idoms at odds, while he bought some more ky jelly with the $1.31 he got offshore for Lazarus!!

    I will probably have to eat my words, but I have never rated chase Auckland, I think his generation of 3yos were the worst for a long time.

But other than that, I can only go back to the 70s and 80s as Newmarket said hands down, Bonnie's chance, armalight, delightful lady.....some good 3yos +4yos mid 80s samson, loveridge, mastermood, nardinski.....your right about a lot of the excitement gone (unless your an owner) I hate knowing some big races are forgone conclusions!

    Quite bizzare, normally a lot of trainers with lower class horses willing to race penalty free even for the low stakes!

    Just don't log on Brodie, just browse the site... it is great viewing watching "The Diceman" putting it to Lee who is obviously out of his depth when challenged and seems to resort to pretty despicable comments.

    Race 3 no 1 mynanasgotnoteeth Reminds me of 4am on a saturday morning when the night clubs were closing 30 years ago and I would look around to see what girls were left!!
