    Looking at the meetings for this Saturday, and it all feels rather flat. There's the Riverton knees up, but just an 8 race card for Auckland. How does this compare with 20 years ago? Where's the CD in all this?

    In view of ongoing issues with various tracks around the country , I am just curious to know who is overseeing the rebuild of the Awapuni track. How confident can we be that the work is going to be done correctly, or in six months will it be closed again for remedial work?

    I wish we could all just wait for the facts of the case to emerge in the judicial decision...and hold fire on all the endless speculation of "I'm reliably informed ". It doesn't help anyone.

    I saw the title of this thread and I became worried. Who's eaten all the mango ice-cream??

    It just goes to show what a great asset Foxton could be if handled correctly and with some vision. Good track, very central and they make Awapuni and Hastings, among others, look like third rate amateurs.

    The two names are inseparable. But I have been wondering about the future. Will White Robe still be the big player/backer? No one can ever replace the enormity of Brian Anderton, but wonder what the plans are going ahead. Otago sort of needs them.

    I see this is on trackside tonight. I am confused. Lots of big girls and boys with wads of cash. But how does it help the battlers, smaller trainers, heartland racecourses and clubs? There's something about this that doesn't smell right.
