Yes, i would say he did try to win last night. Horse cant do any work, as i have stated, its a very limited 9yo flea who is well past her best. Had soft run on markers after being eased from wide draw, did lose a bit of ground when held up by tiring runner turning for home, then no room up straight. You may say it would have whistled up lane to win with clear run, i would say the flea would join in, look the winner till swamped out wide, maybe finish 3rd or 4th.
