  1. I usually do not too bad at motukarara, but the last 2 meetings, a huge amount have galloped! Hope my bad luck has gone before xmas?
  2. Watched last race at Motukara, thought Ben Hopes drive checked Brent Weavers horse 250m from finish. I was bloody surprised to see Weaver suspended, and admitted it? I cant see the reason, but didnt see head on video. Failing to concede his position? Broke when shifted out? Cant understand decision, can see quite clearly inside horse angling out, taking other horses line, which resulted in gallop.
  3. Well, to be honest, life does go on regardless of the outcome. They all have family, some will have kids at school, that makes it bloody hard. Many a finance company director has fleeced the public of millions in the past, some getting off charges. So yes, its serious, and I think some will suffer after trial, but its also not the end of the world. Hope they all have a good xmas, in fact we all have a good xmas, nobody knows what just may be around the corner
  4. No, not everyone to win, just me?
  5. Yes, good effort as you say, but i bet he wishes he got 1000 wins earlier this year, rather than now. Good on the drivers still driving that are under suspicion, takes guts, i suppose some may need to make as much as they can, just in case future not too bright. Herlihy and Mckendry top of list, amazing really with the amount of race driving they do now, but also how many races there were years ago, add in ricky a great trifecta. Was only really DD going to threaten herlihys record of wins, cant see anyone elso on that list getting to the top, lets see what happens
  6. Ha. I see now why i dont usually bet on nz gallops, will stick to nz harness and aus gallops.
  7. Agree, got Sassanach $7-50, rated it $5
  8. Yes, but we dont hear moaning from owners or cjc? Mainly from trainers, which fair, i think they have reasons to complain about their income etc. But, comes a time when they have to work as a team. Seems top tier trainers are doing it ok, hobby trainers not in it for money, but those middle tier trainers seem to be the ones making the noise. Harden up, get a swag of them together, boycot meetings
  9. You havnt picked mine in r5, hope your wrong. To Ri Caitlin, thought it is building for win. I see r6 choice lustre mentioned, good roughie with Loissonya
  10. Mmmmm, heard same
  11. Yep. Looking closely at betting records. A certain person did all they could for the stable, think you got abused for asking the questions. I am really happy this is all coming out, some could be cleared, but not looking good for some
  12. Should be Grant Paynes horses
  13. Also race meeting where 3 horses won, all disq later, nobody charged as per normal. Must have thought they were clever, Ooops, looking into betting and other records now
  14. Hope you got on Happy, seemed an obvious all up, but in the past i have had many an all up halted by a cert getting rolled.
  15. Lets hope for the TABs sake, they didnt listen to you
  16. Just my point Freda, you have stated so many issues in your last post that you feel strongly about, but trainers are just cruising along, waiting for a miracle. I have NO synpathy for trainers in nz, if they cant work together and stage some sort of fightback, they should not grizzle. As for owners getting upset if trainers striked, i doubt that very much. If it could help owners in the future, i am sure they would not mind planned strike, christ they have enough race meetings call off each year, why not have another, that will get media attention.
  17. Fast wet n windy should go close. Include Ross Payne horses,
  18. Good stuff. Ta
  19. Nice picking
  20. We have heard all this before, even on other site, trainers gonna strike, do this and that. But really they are all piss n wind types, just tells the general public that racing is doing ok. Just look around the country at the moment, people striking left right and centre, but not racing. Just complain and sit on their hands.
  21. Go hedley, My nice was after your first one won, bloody superb tipping with both winning. Please tell us you made heaps
  22. Wow, some grow a leg, some show nothing. Think they paid big money for Gentleman Sir
  23. Hey mardigras, Obviously you have all the info at the click of a mouse, maybe you may be able to help. I mainly use betfair for aus punting, have tried wagertool with mixed success. If you were giving a bit of advice to punters just starting out with betfair, and obviously not set up or as dedicated like yourself, what would that advice be, maybe a few simple things that punters sitting down in front of the tv on a sat arvo could think about. Ta
  24. Yeah, I think it is good that many post their selections on this thread, i have bet on a few or added to my selections. I think mardigras and vc are based in aus, maybe we could start thread for aussie racing only on bitofayarn?
