How come the meetings that have been called off recently, are never before first race, but after races have been run? Do they not run a horse around before races start, if they have doubts? Cant be safe at 12-15, but unsafe 12-45???

Too right, $600k to enter horse for this race, i assume all runners get a stake? If not, it is a huge gamble. Pity nz didnt do something similair, with less money of course. Would get plenty of overseas runners if racing for even $3mill

To be honest, horse is very much a grinder type. When it has won, it usually sat parked. It battled ok, but surprised me that it raced at addington, thought a moist methven track would be right up its alley.

I have mentioned many times about riding in sth island, nth island not a whole lot better.

How good would it be having a runner in that race with all that prizemoney!! I think i can tip the winner. Shoals! Loved the way it zoomed home last start, course, distance, 3rd up and wet track form is brilliant, and paying $8!! Im going to get on, What are all your views on this race?

If all those horses started, a big upset is on the cards. Hard track to make ground if they go quick off front

Qualified 2012, its 13 years old? Wont finish in first half of field.

Track will certainly be a bit soft, couple days rain followed by chilly weather. I do well punting on that track with a bit of moisture

I used to enjoy following his horses early on. But, has he battled to win races now, his team seems to just battle, and he seems to drive with no great authority, just goes around for fun. Needs to get his confidence back, both driving and training

Funny that the horse was consistent trotting first few starts, now its 3 starts it has failed.

What a joke. Yes we had a bit of rain before 9pm last night, but hardy a down pour. It was forcast for showers, so it was expected. Crazy

How unlucky is Il Parata. What a shame he didnt go to a good stable with a top driver engaged. Began well tonite, fergs just sat in indian file, then decided not to move off rail, instead though 5 deep a good option??? Jesus Christ, it makes you wonder really. Then horses got off to be in nice spot, until horse in front galloped, so a bloody good effort for 2nd. But driver could have moved off, and taken the bad luck out of the equation. Should be fined

I suppose you cant stop those accused from earning a living. Its going to be hard for those charged in the coming months, so have to give them credit for that. Will they return to race driving, all of them? Will be intetesting, but i think it is going to be hard for some to be proven innocent.

A few points, No driver has ever returned a positive for drugs? So by my info, plenty of drugs found, hardly a group of drug dealers are they? So what where they doing with the drugs? Think you might know

Drug positives? Everyone thinks the drugs were for personal use, maybe not the case. All will be revealed

Correct, this will go in for a long time. Easy to see which traners/ drivers are involved, they are the ones that are not allowed on course. A few missing from recent award night too. This will wreck them, i know several owners looking for new trainers. As for drugs, it may not be for personal use, could be used for something else

To be honest, i cant see too many getting in the crap for drug offences, even if guilty. But for race fixing, the net is cast very wide. I just cant see how some can still continue in the harness game, if of course proven guilty, which i am fairly certain will be the case. Just remember, it may not be that race fixing can be proven in all aspects of this, but what has been said, to who and what about, is not a good look. Worse times ahead, with cup week not far away, some owners may be looking for other trainers/ drivers
