Laz is probably worth about a quarter what he was purchased for. Wouldnt be surprised if he is up for sale, probably end up here. Our stallions that have raced here, have been very average breeders, exception christ cullen and a couple of others, but really we have seen some utter flops

Yep, i see your point Jess, and i knew that i would be in the minority. But lets face it, guy fawkes have been celebrated for ever in nz. Seems recent years, it is just easier to ban things. Even in chch, they want to get rid of E scooters?? Maybe we need to ban xmas, busiest time of the year for hospital staff, most acc claims, domestic violence.

Now, i know everyone on here will disagree with me, but come on, remember when we were all kids, the thrill of guy fawkes, letting a few off. I know, people with horses and pets, i understand that. But horses get spooked by lightning, thunder, wind and everthing else everyday, thats just part of it. So dont ban, but only allow small fireworks into the country, those that a family can have a bit of fun with, but dont sound like world war 2 is on again. Keep large public displays, but the hoods that do the crazy shit with the boom box you seen now, wont find it cool to let off the little ones.

Just watched replay again globe, runner up really strong at post. Gonna be a pretty even cup, which with terror to love and laz in recent years, has not been.

Agree, also annoys me when watching aussie racing, its a close finish. They show you slow motion replay, just as they come to winning post, some clown at trackside puts up PHOTO! You cant see horses noses because of that f$&xen banner!!

I think Nice Option has a point. The gallops section seems a little lean on this site, but i find the harness section far superior than rc. Just my view

Certainly no value with Tiger Tara or Ult Machete on fixed odds. Cruz Bromac, Eamon Mqguire and The Fixer, i have punted all 3, at various stages.
