  1. Great post Gamma…. Their young horses no longer dominate like they used to. I see Equine Blood Solutions seem to be no longer operating🤔
  2. How can you compare All Stars to Michael House? That is totally ridiculous, as I have mentioned stay away from the HRNZ info…. take notice of those that watch NZ Harness every week. All Stars have so many owners paying big money for nags, crazy to compare.
  3. Wow…. you’re one crazy dude. What are you gonna do when the mutts stop racing?
  4. Like racing in Aus in the summer
  5. Oh well, I suppose on that run tonight, shows how poor the opposition was in NZ he beat…. gone a long way from home.
  6. Yes very sad….
  7. Agree…. Im not sure if they are still involved with this or not. Yeah Chief is a nice chap, but he runs to HRNZ site to see the stables UDR, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. Been some real changes with stable last few years, crazy.
  8. Not just Betfair, trying to stop all overseas operators taking bets from kiwis. I still don’t think it will go ahead….
  9. Surely this can be fixed with the right person / chimp
  10. Not sure you follow much harness….. I understand race times are getting faster most years, but w hat I am saying is that a particular stable that once had horses racing 3 wide winning, can no longer do this, and remember some previous unreal performances were run by 2nd tier nags. Forget the bettors delight theory, I’m more interested in the info I have supplied, are they still involved with this ?
  11. It always did amaze me how much work some runners could do during a race, yet still win in record time. So are they still involved with below?
  12. It seems the All Weather tracks have not had the support from trainers, they would rather keep nags in the barn once meetings are cancelled…. than race on the grit.
  13. This is a pic of the chimp that adds finishing order of horses on Trackside as they cross the line…. Sadly, he is 108 yrs old and 90% blind due to excessive banana eating which caused diabetes, he also has many other health issues. Can Trackside please send him away on a well earned break, and maybe employ somebody with basic skills that can place 3 horses in finishing order as they cross the line…. how hard can it be??
  14. Ha Ha Ha…. Funniest thread ever. Only a few hours ago Awapuni getting congratulations 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Strange that majority of race cancellations… are Nth Island tracks?
  15. Marketplace not helped by that bog of a track last week…. wins easily
  16. I only take quaddies, usually if there is a few I think paying overs early on. Yes you can take 1%, if you select fixed odds quaddies, those are the divs when bet is placed, otherwise you can select starting price, that’s fixed odds price when race starts. Worth having a look at, especially with tab small pools. You are right, some quin / doubles are poor.
  17. Waverley today was a complete bog…. I was waiting for meeting to be cancelled early on, but surprised it went ahead when you look at recent cancellations. I’m waiting for stipes report…. surely there would have been horses slipping??
  18. Initially I avoided taking quads, trebles on Betcha. If the favs come in or horses fixed odds drift, usually divs on betcha smaller than tab…. Until a few months back and I started looking a fixed odds early, so getting value at times before fixed prices tumble, have had some good collects recently on Betcha, especially with some pools small on tab. Have a look sometime, if you see value have a fixed price bet. Look what it paid at Riverton today, Betcha vrs Tab…. no I didn’t bet that n it, but wow
  19. Yeah, I remember that guy. Larger build with a moustache….and obviously a little slow. Poor guy, always wanted to speak especially when you’re trying to get a bet on. Another guy was a postie, slim guy large nose, a bit weird. Mind you, probably thought same of my group… We were always on a leaner below Lordship picture, usually a few skulls to get the day going…. always last to be hurried out door after last race…. the security guy was a top bloke
  20. That’s right, think they had last 6 races or so live and n TV.
  21. Yes, was there too, in the public stand around the centre, could really hear the shouting, carts splintering etc….
  22. I used to look forward to Easter Racing, Forbury used to race on the Thursday night …. Then get ready for Saturday Harness, so many memories mainly good, except the big smash in the 3yo race. Hands Down charging home in his Easter cup wins… Basil Dean going record time beating Sir Castleton….. while rest of the card had great races. Sadly, looking at Saturdays races does little to excite anyone…. still we have the memories. Anyone else remember???
  23. Surely they won’t race Saturday? Auckland harness tomorrow must be touch n go also
  24. Why not? Horses sometimes improve in a smaller environment.
  25. A few years back, a few of us raced a slow harness horse…. used to meet with trainer every month to discuss issues and state where horse went…. didn’t worry me that it never won a race, but being involved with the group over a few beers … priceless. Rather than get an email sent out…. telling you what’s already been organised
