So for the last few years the TAB / Entain have made it as hard as possible to bet at Pubs, TABs, Self Service hubs, then surprisingly they offer promotions to those instore, after refusing the same punters promos for yrs? A mate from Aussie had a $2k collect at Riccarton, went to collect but as he was from Aus didnt have TAB account to withdraw…. So funny thing, he got me to put in my TAB acc details with operator, before she paid him cash…. how bloody stupid, so they know my details but gave mate money with no questions asked… this money laundering shit os working well🫣

Was only last 4 - 6 weeks they were offered, desperate for figures…

I always thought previous TAB accounts dropped off after 12 months non activity…. maybe they dont now, send punters a free bet instead every 6 months, so accounts still stay open, looks better on their balance sheet

Yes signing up to Betcha if you already have verified TAB account was easy. But if you dont have Drivers Licence, or if you have never used Realmein… will still need to go to TAB to verify

I know of 5 friends and family members that used the deposit and sign up cash…. but wont go to TAB to get authentication sorted as all lost on Mel Cup,

Yeah, i know of a few😙 Attached below are screenshots of some of the promos i got Cup Week from Betcha, other mates received too… had a few more deposit deals too Oct & Nov, didnt get text or email with some, just appeared in acc, example deposit $200 get $200 Bonus Bets… makes sense with timing now, Entain would be trying to get as many non gambling account holders to punt, and getting us much cash out of us all….then publish these numbers😂. None of us have had any offers since Cup week

I know many people who open accounts on Melbourne cup day…they deposit and get the free bonus cash…. spend on Cup, maybe with family members or syndicates, do their cash but dont bother to authenticate account, so closes. Also, ACTIVE accounts is a joke. Talked to many people cup week, most got huge giveaways or free bets in accounts, some never used for months, surprise, surprise the heavens opened in Nov….😆

Where did i say the Melbourne Cup races in October, we all know it is November. But October is a very big racing month in Australia, huge amount of top class racing. But obviously not many of those new ACTIVE account holders had a bet did they 😙

You easily get sucked in…So above statement says 20k more active account holders compared to 2024….yet active accounts in Oct 2024 was 105,600 compared to 117,400 Oct 2025. So thats a worry, plenty not using accounts in the big month of October for racing….

So 105k TAB accounts 2024…. This year 117k, and this is with the introduction of Betcha? Was always going to be false figures when they once again have the monopoly….

Yes, i did see that… I see in stewards report from last start… She stated horse trotted roughly at various stages throughout race??? Very strange, was one of the few to trot the trip. Yeah, i certainly wouldnt back it at that price

Yes, agree slightly. But surely didnt give the poor punter any chance of paying a div. Just to confirm, i did not have a bet in the race.

Then next race…. Interview with Anj Mugford… said horse was going ok, but i dont really want it to win🤣🤣🤣🤣 FFS, how did the punters that backed it at $6 feel…. did gallop early, so no explaining to do.

Her horse today in Race 2 at Motukarara…. i am puzzled. Bizza To’o, now i get drivers want to take it easy on first starters, especially trotters…. but she looked like she was in a workout. Looking at front legs and wheels, back legs , you name it. I would like to see stipes report, as i thought drivers had to give their horses the best chance of winning the race? Horse had no show, while driver was gawking at everything, one thing she should have been looking at was the gap in the field in front of her…. end result, horse finally tagged on around turn, ran on well for 4th, a more positive drive easily gets it 2nd. Not a good look….

Fantastic, Marketplace turned the tables tonight, smart drive in front. These 2 are clearly the best of that age group. Great racing tonight, Harness in NZ os going strong.

I remember well…. Also remember Montana Vance being the best early on, then Laud appeared and clearly was better. Laud sat parked outside it and clearly outstayed it with Peter Jones driving. Sadly, i think something happened to the horse soon after.

How good has it been watching these 2 race against each other. Marketplace clearly the better early on, but Got The Chocs now has the edge and the staying power. Reminds me of Starship Vrs Tuapeka Knight in the 80s, Starship had edge early but Tuapeka Knight soon turned out to be better. I do remember Starship beating him one day at Addington, only to be relegated as Ian Cameron closed the gap. Sir Castleton Vrs Basil Dean, Gammalite Vrs Poppy…. What other match ups can you remember?

Nope, i could have had 2 entries myself, just needed somebody else with another account, others did it. You shouldnt have to open Betcha account just to participate in a puntets club…

Rachel did organise it….seems like many got landed with this new comp system with little help. Some didnt even have TAB acc as from overseas, i was only one with Betcha app. Usually we all put in at least one syndicate each, plus few more between us… this couldnt happen so less punting, which i am sure Entain and Addington knew. No need to email anyone, they have all had plenty of feedback from punters.

Well…. here is some feedback from 6 punting teams at our table. 1, Using someones TAB account was a shambles, had 2 self serve machines that continued to turn off as did TVs. As couldnt use TAB account to place other bets, most stopped betting elsewhere and one mate left to bet elsewhere at Addington, had all his money but stopped betting in comp. 2, Totally disorganised, we were all told different things, got email night before stating tickets would be sent, never received and when asked on the morn, told sorry you dont need tickets🫣 Was told you could use Bonus bet from r2 with 2nd & 3rd promo… then told no you cant…no all ups… then Andy McCook stated you can…had to take phone up to verify… was told somebody would visit table…rules where changed as it started. We all agreed it was the worst run comp ever, and most likely next year have day at Pub. I didnt stay for presentation, i gave up and invested my money on Riccarton today, just lost interest. Having Andy blarring on a speaker all day trying to be funny, at the same time on course announcements going on, it was a joke. Positives…. Dave helped as much as he could, but some of the ladies running it looked like they have never bet in their life…. Oh, and the food was good.
