  1. I assume they were out for running a place tonight? I would like the stipes to comment on drive, which was great until 300m, then showed little vigor until close to line, yes it was money speaking
  2. That is probably the most foolish thing you have said. If you run 2 races, both over a mile, each 2 minutes. First race 25sec first and last qtr, middle qtrs 35sec. Second race, all qtrs 30secs. It’s the same mate, yes different horses will be suited by times, suited by draws, positions etc, but times are same. As I rightly mentioned, which you obviously didn’t understand, the time on the night was not fast, one lower class race went quicker, few other races went close. That was why Copy That won it, saved for last run, look at overall times,
  3. Yep, him and his dad one of the honest good guys.
  4. Worth noting the the winner in the 2nd race went quicker on the night, while a few other lower class races were just a fraction slower.
  5. Not sure anyone has mentioned Cullen. I think many on here, including myself, watch a heap of Aus harness, I am always interested how nz horses perform. Horses that are average, or struggling to compete with the top few in nz, really do grow a leg. But if somebody can correct me, has any ex purdon horse that has been exported to Aus, performed as good or better than in NZ? Yes Turn It Up unlucky last night, but previous runs poor in Aus, went huge in nz. As for Spankem, with the draw and the run it had last night, should have won, or at least 2nd, open class horses in aus are an average lot at the moment
  6. So true
  7. The Ex NZ horses racing in Aus at the moment, are going huge. That is great for NZ owners, trainers and breeders, aussies will buy, and for good money. But come, horses coming from ex purdon stable, who would buy them. Even Chief might wonder🤭
  8. Copy That won real good at Albion Park tonight, came from well back to swamp them close to home, typical well timed run from Anthony Butt. Shame to see Spankem toss it in so easily, while Turn It Up, a shadow of his old self. Do not think many Aussie trainers will be keen to buy ex Purdon runners anymore, there is a list of good horses sent, that race very average there. Mind you, I suppose many will come up with reasons why,
  9. Is it just me, or is the Dunn stable struggling to get a winner. Got a swag of nags, but results not there. Any news?
  10. Fair enough, hope he gets better, didn’t know he was sick, won’t mention his UDR again.
  11. I suppose my thoughts, are what stock he is racing with. I know he had some better bred expensive horses earlier on, but then he started racing 2nd grade donkeys, that struggle in the sth island, so took them up north, picked his races and did well. But all of sudden, he is now winning anywhere, Santana Mach sat parked yesterday, ran away to win against good field, in good time? I am struggling to understand
  12. So if it was preventative rather than what you call, therapeutic😆, why would they give it to all horses, just before big races? Come on, you are joking
  13. Still do not think he has had a winner? Has Lydia in first race today, only horse he has at the races. Gee, must be a depressing drive to the track. Good luck with horse, poor field, but it would surprise if it paid a divvy
  14. Given time, wouldn’t mind a dollar for every time I hear that!! Lets see, no doubt it will be sold soon, Let’s see how good it goes for new owner
  15. Hey Mr House. Just wondering how you have turned form around on this horse. Hardly keep up a few months ago, now 2 wins finishing like Lord Module?? Please post a few pointers for other trainers that are struggling to win
  16. Good to see him train 500 winners today, in fact 501 couple of hours later. What a top trotter Sundon was, and great as a sire for many years. One of my favs was Royden Glenn, after falling heavily in the derby, came back a few months later and strung the wins together. Pity he was a luckless 3rd in nz cup, Preux Chev kicked his butt show day, but great to see him turn tables last nite. Good on you Fred, copped a bit for his driving style, but trained some top horses.
  17. Just looking at Sure Courts record, had over 3 years off, come back as a 9yo and competed with the best. Anyone know why the time off, injury or had a foal?
  18. Good to see the battling mate Sure Court finishing 3rd, tried her heart out that horse, beat home 3 good ones behind her
  19. I have no issue with them racing today, sadly a couple I had a buck on, couldn’t go in the conditions
  20. I know that many that live in Dunedin will miss Forbury. But to the punters living elsewhere, it is not much of a loss. The class of fields that race there recently have been terrible. To think once they had open class pacers and trotters racing there, nowadays it’s a disgrace. Also had big 4yo race, now just low class nags, mainly raced by hobby trainers and drivers,
  21. That trotter he drove, when he thought he won🤭🤭. Castleton Mission? Holdonmyheart ?
  22. Gee Chief, relax dude. You need to keep posters, not get rid of them. Especially Pitty, we need trainers input
  23. Is this surprising? Look at what he is racing, all going around for low stakes. Get rid of them, get a couple into good races. I did see his galloper win midweek. Harry Mouse has never been taken to serious
  24. Hey Hunter, those young ones not running too quick,
  25. I have taken a few, if you back a lot of longshots, that you think are overs, it is worth it. Sadly, the tabs fixed odds are usually so poor, it puts me off taking them. And they are smart since the top 4 came in, you look, even if the fixed win bet is over odds, the tab has a very low fixed odds place price, so the top 4 bet is unders, be wary
