  1. Bad enough that the girl fell off her horse just after the start, hope all is well there. But FFS, what the hell is wrong with Joe, still in front trying to win, yet other jockeys pulled up??? Did he not see or hear the men on the white horses saying to pull up? God, NZ racing is getting worse each week, it’s a joke
  2. Maybe you all should look at what Aussie operators offer each weak? NZ Tab need to compete, simple as that.
  3. Very sad this girl lost her life, tragic for all her family and connections. Would be surprised if track conditions had any part to play in it, looking at the race it looked like rider interference caused the fall. Seems I have mentioned the average riding skills of many Sth Island jockeys for months now, sadly this is the outcome. Some trainers and those that issue riders licences, surely must take a long hard look of themselves.
  4. Funny race alright, watch it next few starts when moneys not on, will go average again
  5. Well…. Once again the money is up and the team go unbelievable. No Matter Wat, wow. No doubt Gammalite will just say these horses are primed for the day, rest will just think the blood has improved 😆
  6. Watched all the races today, looks like the club had a good day. Was it just me, or did so many horses look likely 200m out the totally fade? Usually many run from the back, but not today, if you were not in the first 4 turning for home you had no chance
  7. Good on them. Not seen the magic man winning many lately
  8. Interesting thread this one. It seems whoever started it had questions about the slippery track earlier on. Yet nothing was looked at, wow
  9. So if it was that dangerous, why did they run any races today? Any complaints first race, any complaints 2nd race??? If jockeys were concerned they would never have started the meeting. H&S, ha ha your a funny woman. Didn’t seem to have issues with so many horses falling, but if one slips your all over it. Once we get more feedback from jockeys that didn’t have issue with track, maybe you will change your mind
  10. And just like that…..GONE 😆😆
  11. This is disgusting….. whoever was talking on trackside said if it wasn’t such a big day of racing, meeting would be called off? What a stupid thing to say, it’s either safe to ride if the race is worth $10k or a million, shit for brains comment. I can see this called off, all because of a handful of jockeys that probably have shit rides. My contacts tell me that 90% of jockeys are happy to race
  12. Jockeys are getting soft. So what, one horse has slipped, that happens in many races. FFS, it’s a brilliant warm day, just heard Kylie Williams on tv saying grass is wet, yet ground hard??? Well, hello. Give it a wee while and it will burn off, christ the jockeys are making the rules
  13. Yep, most agree that it is a good horse. I’m not too sure if it’s top class yet
  14. Fair enough, had great run and well driven. Kailua Flybyes run unbelievable,
  15. Good luck with Millwood Nike, no way will I be betting on it. Reason being, regardless of what you say, stable is performing far less than usual. Those that have won have had great runs in transit, not saying they are not good horses, but would have struggled to win without gun run. Previous years, their horses could sit parked, 3 wide and absolutely kick their heads in, not now. One reason you should be wary with millwood Mike, if it doesn’t get round easy, will struggle to win
  16. Boudici good outside
  17. Without me upsetting Gammalite, this must be the worst NZ cup carnival for the Purdons. Yes I know couple of hot picks have won, but overall average
  18. Newmarket

    NZ cup

Some good racing today, but need to turn TV off now after NZ Cup, that Nicole Sims doing my head in
  19. Yep, just a normal days racing in nz
  20. I thought you said it was little girls and dark skinned riders causing the carnage? You have no idea
  21. Had woman jockeys for years, pretty racist comments to me. See you have no idea, these jockeys obviously don’t have the training, experience etc. To say you now have little girls or Mauritians to dodge, FFS
  22. Must admit, this is my money talking here. But come on, what was Thornley thinking. Got a great run through, yet leaves one -one to go for lead, which was never going to happen with Blair driving the fav. This stable had some great horses in the past, and not nocking McRae, but maybe time to look at other driving options.
  23. Well, Get on those Purdon nags tonight. The moneys up, watch them have hard runs and win in fast times, unload
  24. Seems races aren’t still going ahead tomorrow.
  25. Well, This nag has been battling forever, yet wins last race easily. Be good to hear from Chris Wood on how this thing has improved?? Synthetic form has been holding up well mostly, mostly. Do we get on next time, or is it back to duck egg form.
