I think the prolonged time frame to bring theses charges is disgraceful...poor old A.E is dead now..! and his D.Q and the re-rating of the horses behind, what a shambles.
But the matter of un-supervised and unsecured 'visitors' stabling was going to be a problem any time, more so now that testing is much more sensitive and accurate than in earlier times.
It is simply unacceptable for racehorses to be stabled in areas where pony clubs, and even just random overnight stayers, have had horses/ponies, and with no-one charged with cleaning the premises afterwards to an acceptable standard.
I realise that all costs money, and is just another symptom of a disfunctional organisation that can't even get the basics right.
As was said in another topic, if handicapping/date structures/programming - things that DON'T cost money - can't be organised in a better manner, how could any thinking person recommend yet more funding be thrown the way of these 'managers'.?
As for the two caught meth positive with the provisional testing, subsequent re-testing didn't prove a positive - which does not indicate innocence btw, trust me on that score - however, neither of those two had anything to do with Kenny's horses, one is a trainer whose own charges didn't throw positives, and the other is a stablehand - and the same applied there too.
