Who actually is "they"?  Perhaps "they" should be told that rocking the boat might save it from grounding on a reef.

I agree. I'm hopeful that with Russell Warwick at the helm, they might just bring in someone willing to do that and build a team around them to support it.

Some New Zealanders in the NAVY might suit your CEO needs then Chief.

Some of the 'Rock crazy'   crew on the HMNZS Manawanui probably looking for job now?

Racing NZ work might be easier for them ? 😅😂

No puns intended...but...

The HMNZ Navy can't work out the difference between woke, wake and awake.

What is his Politics on selling Avondale? :)

Simply Avondale wants a fair suck of the Sav AND why shouldn't there be a 2nd track in Auckland City?

It's traditionally a great surface with crap facilities but who needs facilities now days anyway unless Boys Get Paid  get paid to turn up?

sigh, I got to work the camera there back in 87/88?  The Avondale Cup nights then were Very Exciting! The Club as really 'active' and what was happening on any raceday! The Lights when from being brilliant to a near mill stone! I recall the first every night meeting,  'we' really didn't know if our film in the camera was fast enough for the new night lights, thankfully is was! A good mate riding the winner of the Cup helped! :)

NZTR to Implement Interim Co-transition Leads

Following the resignation of New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing (NZTR) CEO Bruce Sharrock, The NZTR Board has planned an interim structure to take effect from 31 December as they continue the process to recruit a new CEO.

The Board has appointed Chief Operating Officer, Darin Balcombe and Head of Legal, Jill Gregory as Co-Transition Leads to support the CEO function following Sharrock’s departure at the end of the year.

NZTR Chairman Russell Warwick believes this approach will ensure comprehensive coverage across both the racing and commercial sides of the business, as both parties are already immersed in their respective areas through their current roles.

“Recruitment for the CEO role is well underway, and the Board is encouraged by the quantity and quality of the applicants who have applied,” said Warwick

“The Board expect a shortlist to be presented at the end of the month. However, it was important to have leaders in place who would keep the business progressing in the absence of a CEO.

“Both Darin Balcombe and Jill Gregory are already heavily involved in the racing and commercial areas of NZTR, and it made sense for them to co-lead the NZTR team during the transition phase.”

NZTR will continue to communicate the transition process over the next several months. Any questions or concerns can be directed to Darin Balcombe or Jill Gregory.

Who are they?

Would be unfair to pre- empt the process which is currently underway. If you think BS was bad one of the favs will be an outright disaster for the sport IMHO.

As i have no rights on this forum i cant even PM you the names.

Should be sorted next year so you and others wont have to wait long

BOAY obviously has higher standards than those who leaked the information to you.

Not sure about that. You're the loser because of your actions on this and most matters but you're the know it all.

Any chance you could offer some serious options as to who should get the job and why?

Serious opinion from you?  Your latest post on this subject was that you knew more than most but wasn't brave enough to tell all.

Go figure!

Its not the first time but you cant/wont accept that i know a lot about the internal politics of NZ Racing and you dont- ill post further elsewhere where free speech is granted and my knowledge respected

No doubt you will play with words to turn things around but thats why many have left your forum.

I don't care and rats arse what you you know that you think I don't know.

I just asked you to post what you do know instead of using the personal message system.

You give the impression you know who the candidates are and who the favoured two are.  Easy to infer harder to actually post something instead of inference, innuendo and supposition.
