They get it wrong so often they should just put "All data is fucked" up there instead. Couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat! Doomed
What's wrong with it being on 2? It's just a number. One has gallops on a Saturday and public holiday, everyone knows that. The shocker today was allowing less than 2 minutes to preview a listed race at Wingatui while they babbled on about a hack race at Ellerslie. 1

Sam Ottley gets the 100 wins for the season and they whip over to a pointless gallops race in Oz!

As far as I know they don't take trackside 2 into Australia so I'm picking quite alot really.

Why does it matter whether they take 2 in Aussie? It is the NZ TAB, we are NZers and the races are in NZ. They are $12,000 races, why on earth would Aussies be interested in them?

mikeynz
Over 20000 in tote win pool for Cup at Westport, almost doubles best at Auckland for their million dollar night last week, Invercargill best was 18 and just under 15 for their cup, both Westport and Banks Peninsula will have big turnovers this week, only to subsidize the northern clubs, only 7 and 8 for Westports main race on day 2 and more than likely Reefton will be same.

I know it's hard to get your head around but north and south is one industry, great turnover on the coast which should be recognized, if you start look at the figures Canterbury clubs also out perform Southland clubs as well. Have you done any homework as to where the betting is coming from .
Nowornever
Track condition today? Good or still a bit of moisture on it like it was on day one.

Started the day as dead, funny as first day it was good, played fair today, winners hard to find for me, only horse I never backed up on the second day, after what a very poor run first day was Deirdre Franco, thought first day was to bad to be true, ultimate punishment for not sticking with her, the 32 divy I thought very poor given her recent form. Last year on Boxing Day 2023 the Track was rated as "Slow" and in the Westport Cup they went a time of 4.21 last 800m in 62.0 This year the track was rated as "Good" by the stipes and in the Westport Cup they went a time of 4.26.6 last 800m in 64.8 It was clearly soft or worse! You could see the track cutting up on the fence around the bends and I have seen quicker times on a heavy track. FFS if they can't even get the basics right how do they expect everyone to take them seriously on other stuff.

It had a good amount of grass on it and thry had had rain and most horses struggled to get through it. Yesterday it was totally different, it had dried out a bit snd they had rolled it so the grass was not as long and there were form reversals from the first day. A lot of the time the weather snd track conditions are at odds with the true weather conditions. HRNZ can say rain and yet no rain predicted at all on the metro weather report? How do we have no-one in charge capable of putting two and two together when the times obviously do not match the posted track conditions and quickly getting it sorted. I even heard drivers saying the track was very testing in places. There were dozens of drivers reports about horses not handling the track conditions. What conditions? The track was good wasn't it! For the stipes to post a good track in the report tells me a lot about how competent they actually are.
