Wingman
I do not trust their times. Is the starting point at the top of the shute in the wrong place? R2 3yo over 1200 1.06.83. Yeah right! R3 R65 1.07.23 R7 R75 1.07.

No. Have you ever seen so few spectators at such an event? $50 entry for general admission is steep. They seem to be trying to be something they aren't. Perhaps the WRC should look at what Flemington do away from the carnival and for that price include a $30 food and beverage voucher, a book and punters club ticket.
Special Agent
I notice there was a BYO area on offer. I wonder how patronised that was. Drink prices oncourse last week were eye watering.

Wingman
Residential creep shown in 'creepy' detail by the drone footage suggests this once great track is on the way out. SLB2.0
We all know the times at Trentham are way off, and we've known that since Seachange ran 29 seconds for 1000m (that's obviously a joke, but you get the point). However, the thing that turned me off on Sat was the commentator trying to rev up the bored crowd as the Cup field came past the winning post. This isn't a yearly event for any of those patrons, it's not the Wellington Cup of old, and hearing a commentator mid-race, trying to get some noise, was cringeworthy.
