Seem there are numerous legal actions everywhere.

I can see Entain cutting their losses and exiting the NZ contract within 5 years. The good news is that new technology means bookmakers as we know them aren't necessary for racing. The quicker we can say "goodbye Entain" the better racing will be. 

Whilst at it have a look at the TAB website. Absolutely pathetic in so many ways. Slow to load, jumps about like a Trump supporter, if you click on something it beats you by a fraction of a second by going to say the 5th at Alice Springs dogs. Thats after when waiting for it to jump you've scrolled down only to have to scroll back up.

I initially opened a Crown Bet account, which was transfered to Beteasy. Both were absolutely brilliant, not a big punter but had an account manager who would make contact several times a year, always gave me $100 bonus bets for my birthday. 

Once Sportsbet took over, was a step down. Initially promos were good but have gradually declined to a point where I get better promos with TAB and Betcha. So might close Sportsbet account, then if they do stop me from punting in Aus, won’t worry me.

Did everyone get the Exclusive offer from TAB this week? Deposit $100.00 and receive $100.00 worth bonus bets? Not bad at all..

I certainly didn't get that offer. The only offer I ever get these days is some half arsed offer to double the fixed odds on some obscure Aussie horse I have never heard of and have no interest in. I think the last one I had was some horse on Saturday paying about $1.30 that ran down the track. I have never taken up any of those offers. Doesn't interest me.

They have no interest in tote bettors, which does suit me in a sense as it helps me to wind down my betting.

I'm getting very suspicious about some of the quinella odds on offer. I know they shouldn't be able to manipulate tote odds but some of the quinella payouts are incredibly low.

I had a couple mates get that too…one got same deal as myself and hardly bets, another got nothing and bets all the time, not sure how they work it

I have no idea how it works. I have started betting more with TAB & Betcha the last few months as Sportsbet have really cut down their promos, well to me anyway. 
 

I am a $10 to $20 a race sort of guy, not big betting but I do have a bet on most of the 2nd & 3rd promos, pity they dropped the 4th. 
Do all my sports betting with Betcha, as they offer better promos. 
So I suppose if they give me $100 free bets…. Will keep me betting for longer.

Probably the more you bet the less they need to entice. A year ago I started to wind up my betting after a winter hibernation and a lady from the now entity called Entain sent me an e-mail with concerning words about the volume and value of my bets. I understood she was doing her job on behest of her wowser bosses so I replied with my most politest 'fuck off' email ever. As in do not sent me this shit again and I did not swear in my reply. This however did not leave me feeling in anyway comfortable leading to me backing right off.

Actually did me a favour as last Summer was not a memorable punting period. Moral of the story is I can today until Saturday get 50% of a deposit up to $100 bonus cash/product. This is neither here nor there for me however I am not going to ignore adding a hundred onto my bet at no cost to me.

They Ladbrokes/Entain are very good at playing poacher/gamekeeper and in my time in UK I avoided them. Not as easy down here, so if you can play them at there own game please do so.

A couple of years ago they used to offer to match my deposit up to $100 or $150 every time my account got low. Almost made it worthwhile having a bad day. Then I went for about 8 months last year without having to top up my account and since then they have lost interest in me.

You have to be going terrible to be getting these offers.  Start writing down all your bets.  Compare the price you got to SP.  You have to beat SP by a margin if you want to be profitable.

Keep a journal.  Write down things you noticed during your day of punting that might be useful in the future.  Don't rely on your memory unless you are very special.  If you did something really clever write it down.  If you did something really stupid write it down and underline it.  Review your journal regularly.

Try and find an edge.  Don't make studying form your sole focus.  Focus on getting the best possible price you can and be patient.
