They need to sink everything they have got on Bravery Born

Not sure what they had going in race 4.

Far less in the BGP pool this year, maybe punters are realising it may be better having a punt themselves

Must be pretty skint soon… I remember those days many moons ago at Addington….tossing up between a bet, beer or bus home…

Usually ending up walking home and having a leak when I could 🫣

Stuck $20 in BGP pool. Lost but was an interest for the arvo. Wonder tho why they dont bet each way.

I would say…. we will never see the BGP Hype again…. at least not for Karaka.

Each to their own and not a criticism (as they can do what is they like) but I found there bet on to bravery born at $2.80 just bizarre.

Many folk out there still enjoy being part of their group punt......At our table of 6 ,3 had and interest in BGP ...$20 , $40 and $50.

Certainly created interest and as usual part of something much bigger....plus the 'excitement' in the laat when there was a huge punt ,over $100k on Alabama Express who did a Sylvia Potts in the final event.

Normal day at office ...95% of Punters Lost.  TAB Forever if you like.

One of our 3 won a bonus bet ,so happy ,the other two had no idea cos they couldn't navigate the TAB App, had to ask a school boy to help !

Over 850 ,from all around NZ bought into the BGP room with many meeting at lunchtime in Kingsland and bussed to the course.

Word is they had a great day....and looking forward to next year.

How could you not have a great day on the greatest night in world sport!

They will talk about that 2 & 3yo races to their grandchildren!

Is that all you have left cynicism and sarcasm?  Why don't you start a thread availing us of your past massive contribution to and participation in racing?

No matter how much you promote it @TAB For Ever the BGP model of promotion has a limited life.  Cracks are starting to show.  I know an increasing number of BGP members who no longer bother with the BGP betting pool but maintain a connection so they join the public stand area that it partitioned off for them.

How is the BGP pool a positive marketing promotion for the TAB?  Sure the TAB makes a net revenue from it even though the margin after marketing is significantly less than any other product they have.

Explain why is it good marketing for the TAB to promote a product that so glaringly highlights, to quote you, that 95% of punters lose?

As a group of BGP members said to me it isn't a good look that the BGP has all the resources, inside information and favourable odds a available to it as still loses big?  As they said they'd rather have direct control over how they lose their money.

I've just been thinking this morning CS did the training partnership thank Dave for buying these horses this year? I'm not sure I heard them thank him this year , I hope they did, be awful if they forgot to.
