You’re welcome to guess who I was watching.

I'd love to know DB. I'd like to watch it. Couldn't agree more. The whole world of high performance is based on these principles, especially measurement, being error-centric and deliberate practice to remedy the errors.

On Waitangi Day Tauherenikau did not have the large crowd it would normally expect due to poor weather. They also only had a 7 race card but their on course turnover was only slightly less than Waikato's Group One Day which had 8 races

So who are the "bludgers"?

So as predicted,  the screeming meemees of the wee clubs, who were NEVER going to be shut down...after Dean Mak took control...

...will survive...if they make a good case...

Guerin let it slip...after pillow talking with the Vella Fella's lot...

The Outsourcing remains on target..But at a later date...and as long as NZ retains control...wrt timing etc...and IP

So much sleep lost by the likes of Reefer...for no reason at all

As usual you are out of your depth Thomass.  Despite the way you talk you know absolutely nothing including having no idea how much sleep I do or don't lose over racing issues.  I have a frigging sight more important things to worry about than the NZ Racing Industry.  I have told you before you have no place in intelligent debate so get back to your fantasy about Japanese female jockeys(or whatever poor female has taken your attention lately).  Only please keep your lewd thoughts in that regard to yourself.

There are several relations of mine that I am not happy to have my name associated with but I guess I can be forever thankful that I am not your 'son' Thomass.  You're a plonker.

Can't you read?

It follows on from the Interim Report I released to him...

Hes worry worted for the last 3 months about something that will never happen...

His Cousin released the sneak preview live on telly

If his club makes a decent presentation they stay

If they don't...

which is what I told him all those weeks ago

Here and there you have some valid points. All drowned out by the fact you have a word on everything. Surely there must be a better way to debate.

Surely...I start most of the threads...I work hard to raise pertinent topics...

...surely I'm allowed to comment on the threads I started??

What recent topics have you opened debate on?

You might raise pertinent topics but you then proceed to ruin them by talking utter piffle in a language most sensible people don't understand.

Hardly worth saying again because you simply do not listen but if you want to be taken seriously learn to write coherently and succinctly and to use correct grammar.

I never said I disliked Michael Guerin you dickhead.  Given he left the Coast probably 30 years ago I know him no better than your average racing devotee.  What I was objecting to was you addressing me as 'son'

Even if you are right about the MAG recommendations you should be crying not crowing.  Six months ago you were overjoyed(and your usual pain in the arse) in telling us how great the recommendations were and how good it was going to be when they were implemented.  Methinks your friend the bewildered one has filled his pants at the thought of the heartland reaction to this and the potential loss of votes.

And if what you say is correct it is entirely down to the likes of me harassing the hell out of people like Bernard and various MP's that the attitude has been modified.  Or do you think in that little world of your own that my only attacks were on BOAY???

Two in particular who impressed me greatly were Murray Acklin and David Lloyd at Oamaru in September.  I have tangled with both of them in the past but they both spoke total common sense at that meeting.  You cannot attack Country racing to try to cure the ills of the industry.

And of course they tell me Pitty was very impressive at the Riccarton meeting(and of course the Marlborough HRC threat to stop Thoroughbreds stopping in transit at Waterlea would have helped).

If it is correct and we continue it will be hugely satisfying to have fought these bastards off a second time (and for me the last time).

A victory for us ordinary blokes!

As a footnote really if the rescued Clubs have to prove they are not a burden on the industry then every club should have to -  now that would be a tough ask for the Riccartons, Ellerslies and Te Rapa's.

Of course it’s a done deal. It was stupid, never going to save Thorougbred racing any money, destroy a large part of it’s hard core fan base, and from a political point of view erode the New Zealand First vote for sure.

Now they can get on and sort out the real problem....The Racing Board (TAB), their excesses, their bad decisions, the Racing Act, Race Fields Legistation etc.

At the same time NZB should look at where they are wasting their money and I would start with the million dollars that they are putting into two races on Karaka Millions day/night.

Ya think?   you aren't getting any argument from me, I agree wholeheartedly with your comments,  but I have a sinking feeling that stupidity may still be the operating code....as for the K.M support,  the breeders still have huge influence,  can't see them allowing that to reduce.

Reefton, How or could it work if the coast clubs that are in the "firing line" went on-course only to keep the strongly supported circuit going?Would it be a consideration if you did get axed?

Couldn't get the turnover percentages to do it MC.  Unfortunately the way it is structured NZTR is our only funding option(unless we negotiated deals with individual betting organisations and that is probably illegal in this country).  Plus the logistics of organising it without the NZTR systems would be too tough.

That's right...the closing track b/s was always going to be a side show...

Even a Messiah can get the odd thing slightly askew

And that's why Winn not only ordered submissions on the document...but an INTERIM report from the McKenzie led working group

That was delivered Thursday...and leaked to Guerin by his mate the Vella Fella...who wasn't supposed to..slap there

Imagine if Winn had taken IMMEDIATE action..as some wanted...and f'ed a few things up??

All hell would have broken loose...

Dean Mak the Vella Fella and the ex Crown Prosecutor are great people and won't let Winn down...god bless his smoke filled lungs

Am I thick or does something not add up here?

Probably both. I'm thick and I come to the same conclusion. But I wouldn't go into business with them and I'm not even an accountant.
