Seems a certain announcement was made public yesterday about a person who features on these social media chat sites

This was of course that CS had been announced by ACT as their electorate candidate for Whangarei.

I would say congratulations are in order, quite an achievement to firstly be selected by ACT in the first place, then come through their vetting process.

I see it has all the little cockroaches scurrying around on the red neck site.

The Dog of course would know all about lap dogs, wouldn't he lol

Don't let the little people drag you down CS, what you have achieved is many times more advanced than a small group of highly opinionated red necks, who are deluded in thinking their opinion on social media has any relevancy or is taken any notice of by people in racing other than the embittered malcontents

Curious why you posted this today since it was announced in early June, but best of luck to him. With Shane retiring, who knows?

I didn't publish it on BOAY because I didn't see that it was overly relevant to a racing forum.

That said I couldn't give a sod what that rabble on RC post.  They are too gutless to do it here and quite frankly their legal threats are lame.  However I'm quite happy to go quid pro quo - round for round.

I agree. As I said, best of luck.

Congrats Chief. you are a good thinking person and argue like a good Debating person at times , which suits a Political narrative.

The top training you have got here from Galah, Curious and the wily Gamma has been great practise for you in getting some words together , to help run the country lol.  some distractions ran away beaten , that happens at the races too lol. Can only be so many winners 😆🌞💪

Having a look,  I now see ACT is a Coalition Government with Nationals and NZ first Parties  , and the leader D Seymour is the Deputy Prime Minister of New Zealand ( be funny if he was related to the QLD Seymour lol )  we could get NZ harness sorted out well then,  just like we did for Queensland 🤣😂

In Aus the coalition Nationals and Liberals are really struggling , and were landslided like never before in our last election, and are struggling with Leadership issues ever since. The NZ Coalition does seem a lot stronger.

ACT going from just 1 Parliament seat  and less than 1% of the House of Reps Vote total in 2017  in opposition, to 11 seats and over 8% of the Vote in 2023 in government . That is really Impressive Growth Chief !!!

Best of Luck to build on that come November 2026 Election . And for your seat of Whangarei. Take it you won't be attending Cup week then ?😁😉 .  have a day or 2 off and fly down and buy me a beer if you win to celebrate 😎🍺

Are you going to be in CHCH for Cup Week?  As you know we have had two great weeks there horse win wise in the last two years.  Trotting Cup Day two years ago was a blast!  Ended up at a table with...well that's a long story...lets just say that a couple of the young ladies at our table were from Trotting Royalty families and we got the oil!

Wow!!! Good Luck !! The social media angle is probably what ACT is looking for.

When it comes to social media the Tucker Carlson bypassing of traditional media and riding a wave of popularity worth noting.

Maybe.  Lets just say I have a runners chance, top weight 61kg, drawn badly out wide and a heavy track.  50 to 1 chance.

It can be done Chief.   Just gotta crack that whip just right .  (don't listen to Curious lol 😉)

In the greatest race of All, the Luck of the Irish played a Big part in making the Race and International Spectacular.

Carried TOP weight on a Heavy 3 years later too. but only ran 3rd to Doreimus.  don't let that put you off lol

Here's a Photo from the Huge WIN earlier though , Getting past one of your NZ mates as well by the look of it. 🇳🇿 those colours on the inside look familiar ? 🌞

Best of Luck to put in a true Stayers performance this year !!

And the Taniwhas successfully defended the Ranfurly Shield against the Makos.

Didn't someone say they would only hold it for a week lol

The Mako's were very unlucky - I can see why David Havili's All Black career is over.  However the Mako forward pack got distracted by the niggle instead of doing the job.

They reckon there was 20,000 at the game.  The town was alive and buzzing.  I've talked to a few hospitality people including caterers and they have their fingers crossed that the Shield remains until next year.  Waikato will be a big game!

The score still stands lol

Waikato in 2 weeks and then Counties Manukau and they keep it over summer if they win.  So probably just need to get past Waikato as CM are well down the ladder

I'm not sure many people really understand how MMP works.  No one is under any illusions that for any minor party candidate (outside the encumbents) to make it into Parliament there would have to be an incredible swing towards that Party.  The highest number of MP's that ACT has had in Parliament was in 2023 - two electorate MP's (Epsom and Tamaki) and nine from the list for a total of 11.  Two of those 11 are standing down - Brooke van Velden in Tamaki and Matt Cameron as a list MP.  Paul Henry is likely to take Cameron's place on the list.

Obviously sitting MP's on the list are at an advantage - they have done at least 1 or 2 terms in Parliament.  In reality if the Party vote for ACT doesn't increase then there is only 1 position on the list vacant.  But regardless at the end of the day if you want a strong right of centre Government (i.e. not the rag tag lot from the Left) then Party Vote ACT is the way to go.

I see the Dog has developed a short memory to suit his pathetic drivel

I can distinctly recall the torrent of online abuse over an extended period of time that CS got from him and Molloy when he was managing Race  Cafe.

One of the reasons he went off and started BOAY
