Chief Stipe Posted July 12 Author Posted July 12 Last of 11 turning for home. Ran the last 600m on a Soft 7 in 34.33. The fastest 600m sectional of the meeting. Not a bad effort at Caulfield. 1 Quote
Newmarket Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Not been on this site for weeks… good to see you can still post sectionals. Quote

You must admit it is an incredible come back from some devastating injuries. Well done to the Te Akau team. One of the benefits of a large professional trainer is their access to the best equine care and technology. Quote

I guess some people feel more comfortable in Anti-racing forums where everyone agrees and laughs at low brow humour. Where they try to raise themsleves up by trying to bring those above down. Each to their own. However it would be nice to see some facts from time to time rather than fiction delivered in an ad hominem style ad infinitum. Quote
Chief Stipe Posted July 18 Author Posted July 18 @Comic Dog 's "open and honest" discussions are nothing but. Try disagreeing with him. It took @curious three or four different accounts to get his point across on the Anti-Racing site. Until of course they kissed and made up. If you notice they never produce any evidence just bluster and scuttlebutt. He certainly doesn't adhere to his own rules the main one being "put up or shut up". What I find surprising is a number of people I've met and respect have fallen into the same rabbit hole e.g. @curious and @Freda. So @Comic Dog put up or shut up. Perhaps there should be a personality test to choose between who gets a smart phone or a dumb one. Quote
Freda Posted July 19 Posted July 19 I personally find rabbit holes rather uncomfortable. Too small, no decent chairs. 1 Quote

Chief Stipe Posted August 24 Author Posted August 24 I see Bellatrix Star has been retired after consultation between the trainer and John Galvin the Fortuna Syndicate Manager. What a tough mare who performed well in Australia with two Grp 2 wins and a Grp 3 with multiple Group places. Over $1.1m in stakes. Second to Switzerland in the Grp 1 Coolmore. Won the Grp 2 Schillaci Stakes and Eclipse Stakes. In the latter beating Move To Strike and Velocious. Unfortunately experienced a very bad accident which few horses would recover from. She made a full recovery and came back to run a dashing second in the Grp 3 Monash Stakes. A tough racing mare and like many tough mares likely to pass on those traits to her progeny. By champion sire Star Witness she is likely to return a lot more at sale than her purchase price of $80,000 as a yearling. . @nomates @Joe Bloggs @Comic Dog . Quote
