Now I know drivers make tactical errors. It happens.  And that's what happened when Ian camerron came off the back of jerry Garcia with 600m to go at addington in race 2 last night.

But his excuse to stipes I thought made for a bit of comedy.  Firstly he felt the horse outside jerry Garcia was travelling better,ok that's fair enough even if  everyone watching knew jerry Garcia never stops. But then it adds mr Cameron said his horse was battling in the conditions on the inside of the track,. What a load of rubbish, then to top it off he states his horse had only battled from the 400m. That is despite stridemaster showing his horse ran the fastest last 400m of any horse in that race.

My question is why didn't he just say he made a poor tactical decision.

Yeah, Ian did seem to make a bad decision to pull out from the trail, if he had stayed in the trail he probably would’ve won!

A certainty beaten was in the first race the amateur race.

Kruizr, should’ve been put in the race, and it would’ve won.

It was an amateur race so we come to expect that!

100% agree.

M House gave Kruizr a big rap during the week going into the race. I did my money cold. I think it was the 8th time I have given myself an uppercut and said never again (to bet) in an amateur's race.

The reality is some amateur's are better than others, and you invested on a horse driven by a driver who appears  not to have paid a dividend for 14 years.   Despite that he was the favorite.

He was always a good thing to be driven in a manner that would frustrate punters, however given the horse was clearly in the top 2 on ability, his time for the driver getting a long overdue placing may just be around the corner, maybe.

Christ, really?! Wish I had known that beforehand!

I don't usually invest with the amateurs.

Last time I had a bet in an amateur's drivers race it was about 18 months, 2 years ago, day meeting at Addington. These two drivers went like cut cats out in front, their charges eyeballing eachother, going quicker than last week's pay right from the get go. It didn't end well (for my horse anyway).

Should be run as non-totes these amateur races.

Just as a by the way, Cheryl Wigg (spelling may be incorrect). She seems to win more than her fair share of these events. And often pays a divi.

But no, I'm not getting sucked in again.

Not, until next time anyway!

I think there is still about 12 months to run on that suspension too lol
