The 'best' Politicians money can buy?

Yep its all going to come out in the wash up of the SFO enquiry. NZ First, pay up your dough and get your wish. Only trouble is the shit has well and truly hit the fan for Peters and his clan of miscreants. Trouble is any relief the racing industry may have got will be well and truly pushed to the back of the queue....no wonder ardern is trying to protect Peters, she is crapping herself that there may be an early election and the news that she has gone into a coalition, and is being propped up by, someone like Peters is not going to go down well. And Peters? saying now that funding to politicial parties should be 'secret'? HaHaHa that really takes the cake. Have a look at how Shane Jones has been mincing around NZ and the Pacific handing out the billions from the so called 'provincial fund'...why wasn't some of that used to kick start the racing industry? Just wait for the name calling and silly childish attacks on Simon Bridges diction  from people who can't find anything else to attack him on. You reap what you sow in this World.

Dear Tommosino and pastaman, could you please contact Peters since you clearly think he's doing a great job and is blameless in all of the accusations piling up? Ask him to keep up the good work. The polls are showing that the coalition of losers and handwringers are hurting, and it cannot be denied that Peters is causing angst among his chosen bedfellows.  As was always going to happen. Leopards, or should we say hypocritical old egotistical fools, do not change their spots.?

Let it go koppa...there's nothing to see here...Winn's far too smart to face charges

Meanwhile Sly Slymon's lot have actually been charged!

Of course Slippery Sly says "nothing to do with us Knats"

unbelievable lies

Yeah...looks like your besty Ardern has followed your lead and is doing a runner..again..when the going gets tough! Another overseas urgent commitment, Aussie, Fiji etc. When she should be staying in NZ and sorting out the festering mess that is her coalition deal with NZ First/Peters. I think our pal over on the other channel is right, she knows she has to jettison Peters, but is following her normal modus operandi and chickening out. Doesn not bode well for the NZ racing industry. I think we are going to see-soon-exactly what Peters' real priorities are, and unfortunately Racing is at the bottom of the list.

I'm afraid so.

I can't see 'racing'  getting much if any traction with the scrambling coalition dramas.

I see some calling for a strike,  others, a sort of organised 'disobedience' stopping short of a strike.

I can't comprehend how, even if all the factions could be syncronised,  a strike or similar at this time would have the slightest value to us as a whole.

the Natz now have 2 100k donations that need explaining to the S.F.O.

Those involved appear to have 'Chinese sounding surnames'....apart from JLR....ex Natz bagman, turned whistleblower.

A strike needs to be some sort of unifying rally cry. But judging by the disharmony and acrimony that exists on these sites, I would say that is impossible.

Sadly you have summed it 'the politics' well!

Interestingly! I bet! 1.05 all the key players  for say last 25 years have been right wingers.

The sensible ones understand  what it means re Sunset Industry! (hence!  the lack of effort historically from the Nats) others! are happy to pick up 'a dead cat',  and can be heard  (after throwing it down on the ground) "Did you see in bounce!!!" "There's still more life in it!"

where on the list should it be? ?

ps, are you as bellicose in person as you present on here!!!

If bellicose means do I fart a lot..yes. my missus reckons I'm a dead ringer for the Worlds' best!

But seriously. you say where on the list should racing be? Well W Peters got NZ  first over the line on the strength of promises he made to the racing industry, don't have any doubts about that!  And what has what has he delivered? Feck all, frankly. And things are about to get worse for Peters and Jones, accepting huge donations from racing and fisheries millionaires...and what do you think those people who donated all that dosh expected in return? Ardern is going to have to stop running away from the hard decisions very soon?

You're dreaming, surely. The racing industry has little or no sway - yet you think they were the difference.

I don't think the votes of racing people (of who would vote for him?) would have made that difference.

Have you got evidence to back up this claim?

Have you got any evidence that they didnt? You'll find out at the next election that a lot of people got sucked in by Peters-again-and will not vote for him, again. And finally NZ might be rid of the vile prick who has held the country to ransom too many times. Fuck off peters, and take your ' knighthood' with you. Aint gonna happen.

I don't have evidence either way. But your claim is a bit of an indictment on the intelligence of racing people - and you seem to be wanting to lump them together as being collectively gullible and stupid. Bloody decent of you.

Anecdotally,  there were a surprising amount of people who voted for Peters 'because he saved racing'   [ ?? ]  and,  because he was perceived to be a handbrake on policy.   And,  of course,  because he was going to go with National.

Don't forget those donations from some in the 'black hole of Waikato'  who supported wholeheartedly the installation of the allweather at Cambridge so their horses could be prepared more easily for their Australian campaigns....all paid for by the PDF and money gleaned from flogging off the assets of small clubs.☹️

1.03 and firming.

It's interesting to see how things are going back a century, re Ownership!

Again becoming the domain of 'vanity projects' for wealthy cashed up members of the bourgeoisie!

Mostly framed around 'breeding' tax breaks etc! Winnie has delivered well there!
