Freda
Not entirely racing related...but how are we all doing during this time of restriction? Many are finding the situation difficult, others have adapted really well. What have members done to adjust?
Shad
Lucky for me work carries on as per normal, keeps things normal for me, and the fact I live in a rural area plenty of open spaces, do feel for those who can't have their normal routine at this tough time, sometimes we have to be careful what we wish for in life, and appreciate when have work and a routine in life, we must keep battling on and keep our sense of humor, jokes anyone.
Freda
Your jokes? I suppose they're better than nothing ....! Seriously, yes, you are lucky to be in a rural environment, I'd love to be in a remote slice of our paradise, but practicality decrees otherwise. I am very fortunate though, to live right across the road from the stables/ racetrack, so there is an illusion of open space, and as it is definitely ' in my area' I can get plenty of exercise/fresh air quite legitimately. I have to go over the road to feed the cats and tend the chooks, clean out the henhouse, etc; and the dogs require their exercise too...so no cabin fever at all. In fact, I have to confess that I am finding the reduction in traffic, clowns on the road, student parties, etc, very peaceful. It's alarming though to see all the expressions of boredom from some of the local young - and some not so young - who do absolutely nothing apart from sleep, drink and smoke weed, and complain. 1
SLB2.0
Not much has changed for me. I've lost a few tipping jobs due to racing being canned in Europe. The day is as usual, except I can't play golf and go out to restaurants.

If you are leading after the 3rd round you win because that is all they play! Not quite the Masters but you can practice your putting while update your computer for scores. Good on you Pam, with all those animals to look after almost like being rural, you have been in the game for a number of years, so I'm sure that you will keep trucking on, after all of this. For me biking past the cemetery at 5.00am in the morning and seeing how fast its filling up, keeps you thinking things can always worse.
Mardy
Not much has changed for me.I'm lucky that with me working at the hospital here in Blenheim, that it gives me some 'normality',but then once home it's pretty much just staying home, unless it's a supermarket trip or my partner and i walk the dog.Am missing the local horse racing, but i guess the Aussie racing is giving me something to look at lol.Stay safe all. Shad
Someone broke into the local dog pound, and let them loose, police are following a number of leads. 1
Freda
Seamus and Pat were choirboys. Seamus decides he needs to go to confession, but Pat, not on your nellie, he waits outside for his buddy. Father, begins Seamus , I have sinned. I have been having impure thoughts about one of the girls, and it's becoming a problem for me. Who's the girl? asks the priest. Is it Mary O'Connor? I cannot say, Father. Bridget Murphy? No, Father, I'm not saying. Naimh Browne? My lips are sealed, Father. Well, Seamus, our choirboys must be above reproach. Ten Hail Mary's and you're suspended from choir for six weeks. Outside, Pat waits impatiently. What did you get, Seamus? Six weeks holiday and three good leads for the weekend.....! 3
