Chief Stipe
I watched the first at Rosehill - some nice 2 year olds preparing for their early 3 yr old season. One horse I wanted to see was Hot n Hazy. Shocking what happened. Even though the horse was hanging i think Bowman should take a rest for awhile. Jockey in hospital and horse euthanasia. $ BILL
That was horrendous. Only watched it once, but if first thoughts are correct he should never ride again. That appeared to be criminal disregard for horse and human ? No need for that.
nomates
Bowman saying he was dictated to by horse in front and inquiry adjourned . If they fall for that their as bad as our lot .
$ BILL
bowman could have gone inside no problem, if he defends his actions low life lump of shit
Pitman
I think you will find this will be mitigated by the movement of the leader who rolled out as Bowman went for gap Not saying I agree with this as a defence but just wait and see. He will still PROBABLY be suspended but not as severely as we all first thought
Joe Bloggs
Yep, you've ridden as a jockey, you'd know........reckless riding, not careless IMO and young Adkins will be out for a very long time mores the pity.....forgive the pun.
Pitman
And what have you done in racing keep hiding Who are you? at least I am prepared to put my name to postings unlike you hide behind Joe Floggs Edited July 25, 2020 by Pitman
SLB2.0
What was it about Joe Bloggs' post that caused you to get defensive, Michael? I think you need to re-read it as opposed to target someone.
Pitman
You don’t need to have ridden as a jockey to have knowledge of racing so why the smart comment
SLB2.0
I think he was merely giving more weight to your opinion. I guess on that basis, you don't need to front with your real name to have an opinion on the internet either.

SLB2.0
Interesting take Curious. Often in sport, the severity of the punishment is often influenced by the injury, which I don't believe should be the case. For example... a punch thrown in league that results in no injuries is usually a one-week ban. However, a punch that knocks someone out is around 5-6 weeks. nzhorseracing
photos might help discussions. these photos were published by https://twitter.com/SurfingPunter social media is helping to keep the game competitive but more importantly, honest. I expect a long spell for bowman.
Chief Stipe
Yep in those images he goes for a long holiday. Also the argument about the leader rolling out doesn't hold much water. FFS where was the gap!
Chief Stipe
Doesn't Bowman actually admit it in his statement: I endeavoured to make a run to the outside of Glyn Schofield (on Mr Colorful) which I had every right to but in doing so I was going to have to move Andrew slightly but I felt that I was able to do so,” Bowman said. Joe Bloggs
Maybe the gap saved him? I've been told by an expert that there was a gap, Bowman saw it, and was heading for it, you can't argue with experts, that's why they're experts. Personally I feel for the owners and Danny, their sense of justice must now be compromised.

I start every Sat morning thinking i'm an expert and usually at the end the day clearly an amateur . 1
