Funniest post I've read. Classic.

This explains why Brodie isn't posting his picks for me/us on this thread. He is too busy and preoccupied at the moment, for the greater good. Top man.

And likewise, I really hope the Spitfire gets up today. Connections deserve it badly, and it would be great to see him win, or even just fall in for third would be something.

I won't be taking the very generous money of 7's on offer, but I will be at home yelling at the tv and belting my leg to help him get home.

And do you think that will work😄?

It does mate.

Happy and Dougie have tipped out a few on here in the past, and I have seriously ended up with a bruised thigh, trying to get them home. Every little bit of "encouragement" helps the horse.

Maybe 3 or 5 for a win,2 or 3 for second 1 for third,what do ya reckon?

Scoring in original post was

3 points for a win, 2 points for a second, 1 point for a third. Highest points scorer for the day, gets the bet. If there's a tie, the person with the most winners, if still a tie then most seconds and then again, if needed, most thirds.

Will you punt on your selections Happy?

Not really. Trot races today are very hard. Got in early on Gil Favour and John James Preston and Art Collector for the place.

Will the inside be better later due to the grass being trampled all day or fresh grass out wide be the go.

Inside all day in my book.

Just watched Thornley being interviewed on FB, says best chance is Neyveli Franco but only on best behaviour so that suggest more talented than Texas Tara but a bit of a nut job!!

Oh dam. Oh well. Hope Texas gets third then.

It was long last year and will be long again all season. Mot and other tracks are cut lower.

Isn't it great to have a grass track that doesn't have one of those dodgy crossings where half the trotters gallop going over it whilst the driver gets airborne!

I still prefer The Mighty Mot!

While lots like the country grass meetings it's likely that few of the big time punters would bother, these fields are so hard to work out,so in reality is this good for turnover or does the prospect of getting good divvieds inspire interest?

I couldn’t believe how short Five Wise Men was in the first, the trainers haven’t had a trotter get around in one piece for years, it will win races no doubt but not in that stable unless Dunn can take it over.

Do big time punters bet on the galloping grass tracks or are they waiting for the new all weather tracks?

The biggest lottery on the grass is the Melbourne Cup.

After Race 2.  Postman two from two!

Please check you points tally - lots of room for error in transcribing from posts to spreadsheet!  Seems like there is only 20 minutes between races!

So far nothing,what a surprise.

Aveross might get third if there is an enquiry🤐

Maybe there  should be an enquiry as to why he ain't paid a divvy yet🙂maybe hes on performance inhibiting drugs, being fair though it did battle away better than most of them that number1 draw helps as it does for anybody else.

As an enthusiast I love the grass tracks but as a punter hate them.

No bets for me today but love watching them
