I think he made a couple of bad blunders which happened because he is not really familiar with either horses. Beyond Words is driven by others not Mark and Amazing Dream usually handled by Natalie. I think Purdon underestimated Beyond Words and payed the price for his complacency. Natalie Rasmussen... they keep going for her in the straight, she is not often beaten in a close finish.
