The top racemare Avantage has been retired , apparently a tendon injury has curtailed her career .

Very disappointing at a time when we drastically short of top class race horses in NZ .

Hopefully throws something as good as herself as a broodmare .

I wonder where they will sell her?

I would think a private sale so she can be covered this season , long wait for the Gold Coast broodmare sale ,

Might depend on the extent of the injury .

I'm not sure a private sale would work as it is a Syndicate.

I think they work on a majority vote , being a Fastnet Rock there will be plenty of Aussie studs interested .

Good mare & I wonder where she sits in the list of good horses n NZ over the past few decades, probably dominated when our G1 racing was (well still is & getting worse) at its worse and barring from memory a Group win in OZ?

Certainly By Fastnet Rock out of Zabeel mare there would be plenty of interest as you say.

Out of a Zabeel mare.

Online Auction perhaps?

Will be a bit of a race to heal and let her down, sell and then service.

How many Grp 1's did she win?

The biggest thing in her favor is she won G1's at 1200mtrs , 1400mtrs , 1600mtrs and 2000mtrs .

True but to balance that out - she won them in NZ.

As well was a G1 winning 2yo and won the Karaka 2yo , so really was miss versatile .

Grand dam a G3 winning mare who left B D Pin , A G1 winner in HK .

Half sister could well win a good black type staying race this year .

All in all a very commercial mare .

1st season to The Alfonso , 2nd season to The King then 3rd season stretch the budget and send  her to Raise The Flag should give ya a good idea of how commercial she is.

I'm taking it you have research these stallions thoroughly and are all perfect line matches for her .

Your reputation is on the line .

p.s. i know where RTF stands , where the hell are the other 2 living ?

Raise the flags doing very well in Australia on the jumping circuit, and only get better with age, as for The King he stand down south to, one of the Dennis horses I think,

Bad luck for TA yesterday but will be looking for a big day today to make up for the disappointment of losing Avantage .

Got horses running in 3 stakes races in NZ today and 1 in Sydney and 1 in Melbourne .

At Hastings they have I wish i win in the El Roca trophy as a 1.80 fav , Imperatriz in the Gold Trail as a 1.80 fav .

At Riccarton they have Synchronize in the fillies race at 3.20 , Need I Say More at 2.10 fav in the open sprint .

In Melbourn they have Probabeel as 4.20 fav for the G1 , they also have Khama Lass running in the last , drawn wide but won a trial last week and at 17s is anice each way bet .

In Sydney they have Ameralinha running in race 5 , has shortened into 5.50 currently , was at about 10s at one stage , should win this i reckon on what she showed last year , putting her form against the Aegon form .

TA also have Vamos Bebe running at Hastings as a 2.10 fav , won the disqualified in a stakes race at her last start , great form for this and doesn't mind a bit of rain .

A couple of other ex Kiwi's running in Sydney that might be worth a bet ,Charm Star in race 2 and Tony Be in R4 , both at double odds and both should be improved from first up runs . Tony Be in particular hit the line great at his first start and with a rain affected track is a nice bet .

Good luck today .

Atishu in the same race as Amerelinha and is the 3.30 fav , getting 4 kilos off Amerelinha , on exposed form i think Ameralinha is a superior horse , fitness is on the side of Atishu but i will stick with Amerelinha , she needs to be winning to make the Golden rose and The Epsom .

Tracks haven't suited them either.

I don't think Danielle Johnson is riding very well at the moment.

She definitely isn't , she knows how to get a short priced fav beaten . Don't know why she left the rail on Imperatriz , no patience , the rail is firming up at HB .

Unfortunate about the rain for Amerelinha , plus Mcavoy was rubbish , hauled on her mouth the whole way , a forgive run .

Perhaps i should have pointed out the Go Racing horses .
