Couldn't have been a bad injury to be going up so soon .

I read that there was swelling in a leg and the vet immediately scanned it and a small hole was found in a tendon.  Obviously not worth the risk of rehabilitating to race but presumably not too bad to let down in a box.  It would take a month wouldn't it to prep her for service?

Well still early in the season and really depends how she moves on it , might not be giving her any grief walking , but plenty of time to get her covered so if they gave her a month in box and small yard should be fine .

If an Ozzie stud bought her it would probably be best to serve her here.  12 months gestation with first foal makes it tougher if you have even small delays this year for next.

One Avantage of auctioning her now is that TA and the Syndicate will be flush for the Ready-To_Run Sale!!

No way she doesn't go to a big Aus stallion , once she got to Aus she would thrive in the heat . Biggest issue is how much condition she is carrying , empty mares are better to be on the skinny side to start then get them improving and covering them on the up .

A few weeks on a light diet will soon sort that , the horses that go to Asia are kept light before they go up so they can handle the heat and then start to thrive .

She already has a place booked on a plane.

Space for Avantage has been reserved on New Zealand Bloodstock Airfreight’s next flights to Sydney and Melbourne this coming Sunday and Wednesday week respectively.

I like the fact that they have given up on her staying here , come on Waikato , surely Ellis could put a syndicate together .

Maybe then we could get together and get 1% for fun . 1% of say 2.5 mil = 25k , ok maybe not .
