Where did you hear that?

On the Hrnz website...Guerin talking to Nat Rasmussen about the plans  for the horse ....will run in the Kaikoura cup, but only if it's held at Addington.

We’ve cancelled our bookings, for our motels,  four units of visitors kaikoura  will miss out on. Plus booze money. (A lot)

8 of us go up. Have done for years. My liver will get a rest.

I will be in Ashburton on Flying Stakes day. I suppose St Cindy's rules will keep me outside the course, so I might have to resort to the time honoured climb through the hole in the fence trick.

Yip i read that article as well, and i thought 'holy shit,no way'. Would be a massive kick in the guts for the team down in Kaikoura if this was too happen, for the clubs sake i surely hope this isn't the case.

Yeah, 4 of us just cancelled too. A shame, feel sorry for the club.
But no way will they race at kaikoura this year, no time to plan or get horses to track. Who would have thought, no cases in sth island for ages, go figure, I’m 😡

As long as we're all being kind . That's all that seems to matter.

Hopefully HRNZ make the call early on, so many can cancel bookings etc.

The Kaikoura club could do ok out of it if addington takes the meetings, with plenty of dining options with no limits, many would take up that offer, as long as prices not too greedy, if they are, will go to pub and bet with sportsbet

So it's now official. The meeting to go ahead at Addington. Locals must be disappointed.

The upside is that the feature races may feature some of the top line horses.

Huh, what's going on here... I swear I read an article this morning that said Hawkes Bay game this Saturday said thousands allowed in at L2? ...... surely this can't be allowed as it's a seated event but at the Trots people stand up.

I think a lot of questions need to be asked. The Kaikoura pres said it's the uncertainty of what level 2 entails that drove them to this.

Cindy can smile all she wants but this is a debacle

Can't say the Robertson impresses me from afar, has he got too much on his plate?.... was or is it in the too hard basket to have Kaikoura go ahead for vaccinated participants only ?

Put on your gang members patch and just stroll through the front gate.

Ardern is a control freak but she won't last long, but yes covid is a problem but the South Island is free, as it stands so things should be going on as normal, it can't be that hard to control our border, that's Cook Straight, you need a boat patrolling the coastline with a shoot first ask questions later for any dissident trying to flee from the north, they do it in Korea so we can do it here as well.

You looked at flight radar lately, Akld  to KL right now,  KL to akld right now. Dozens of internal flights, there is no border.
