Gammalite
Some fillies are on the prestigious Vic Oaks trail , and on the way can bag a Group 1 at Caulfield with the Thousand Guinea's over the mile today. BARB RAIDER with Willow up , might camp right on the back of leaders Waterhouse/Bott pair (No 's 1 + 8 ) until in the home straight, and give them the Go-by ! all going well. and for a great shot chance at 100-1 , couple BARB RAIDER R7 with FOXY FRIDA R8 . In race 8 the mares race, Daniel Moor replaces the apprentice who rode last time, and MOOR won brilliantly at Flemington with 'Foxy Frida' in Winter. The Mile distance today, will be right up her alley !!! . Foxy Frida does have a bad barrier draw, so a saver on SIRILEO MISS (also in R8) not a bad idea , as she is racing very well too.

Hi Gamma , couple to keep an eye on today at Caufield . Hezashocka in R3 , ran on real good at his first start in Melbourne , that was his first run left handed and i noticed him finding the line well last 100 , up to 2000mts today , Caufield not ideal , will love Flemington , won over 2000 here in a stakes race . The other is R5 Il Affaire , ran 4th in the Derby here , looked a smart horse here with a good turn of foot , i don't think the 1400 will be too short , opened 6's but on the drift , but worth a couple of dollars and to follow , looked better than average here .
SLB2.0
Any concern of Barb Raider dropping in distance and eyeing the Oaks? Very nice win in the Trial though. I'm with Zouzarella, but it will need to get on the back of something going forward. If the Flight Stakes form holds up, Hinged is the one. Gammalite
The last start Grand National Hurdle winner is winning today too. Wouldn't of picked that in Metro company today. WIL JOHN ridden brilliantly to an easy win by Linda Meech. Linda just back after a year off with having a baby too. She's come back well . She rode great ride for 2nd in Race 3 as well on MANKAYAN . 2 x Maher/Eustice Quinellas in a row too. They are going gang-busters with winners.

KickintheKods
I thought the two that ran first and second in the Group 2 Edward Manifold were both entitled to respect in this, but the bookies are not at all impressed (Elusive Express is at $11 and Yearning is at $21). I will each way them both for an interest. Edited October 13, 2021 by KickintheKods

Chief Stipe
Yearning is really well bred!! Rising Romance NZ bred. Won the Royal Stakes in NZ and then went and won the Australian Oaks. Ran a few seconds in big Grp1's in OZ. Won its Maiden at Dargaville!!!! Yearning's full brother sold for $2.5m at the Inglis Easter Sale. As for Zouzarella she looked uncomfortable in amongst horses and didn't like the buffeting around the bend , looked like a tired horse up the straight going by the margin the winner put on her from the home bend , or maybe switched off , maybe at the end of her prep .
